No, what fucked any potential deal with Un or any nuclear state is what happened to Ukraine and Libya. The US promised to protect Ukraine in exchange for their giving up nuclear weapons and then sat by as Russia stole Crimea. Libya gave up its nukes voluntarily and France/NATO destabilized the nation for lulz. Why would Iran follow their example? Take the boost to the economy (more Lambos were sold in Tehran than in London while the US/EU was still following the Iran deal), wait until 2025 for the sunset clause to expire, and then keep following their original plan anyway. Meanwhile, under Trump, the Iranian regime is quickly running out of money and the people are unhappy sending their kids off to die in foreign wars with protests becoming more often.
