This isn't necessarily about Trump but why do Rightwingers blame Obama for Title IX a law that's existed since 1972?

The Obama administration did make some changes to Department of Education rules to essentially require colleges to have campus tribunals for sexual assault allegations. I believe the Trump admin reversed those, though I doubt they actually did anything to eliminate such tribunals, where they now exist thanks to the prior rule.

I assume that's what whoever's talking about 'Title IX' is trying to refer to, though who really knows.

It had to do for when Rape culture was the main talking point for intersectional feminist and race hadn't become their number one focus like it is now. The original had to do with discrimination between the sexes stating:

“no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

Some of the cases made it really big but can't remember. I just recall cases like this guy who took a girl home from a bar and was accused of sexual assault so he got kicked out of school. I think after they found out she was lying but they still kicked him out. This was a big talking point for Sargon and other Anti-SJW for some time.
