What makes it really stupid for Wu is that he keeps bringing it up.

If he'd quit repeating that long discredited bullshit, there is a greater chance people would just go "oh, Wu was faked out once" and move on. Wu is an absolute joke on a lot of things. Insisting Jace and Tyce's skellington army were legitimate threats were just the jokes that even her own supporters had to laugh at.

Honestly the only reason she's clinging to the Jace and Tyce videos is because they're the only thing she has that gives her validation. I mean think about it, her game was a massive failure so she can't legitimately call herself a successful game dev (even though it doesnt stop her from trying), the whole gamergate thing is pretty much done so she's lost her chance of rising to fame through that. Those videos are the only thing she has that actually make her look like shes genuinely accomplished something with all of her underhanded bullshit. When she shows off that video of a balding man in sunglasses claiming to be a wolf coming to maul her, she's basically saying "Look everyone! These guys hate me so much they're announcing to the world that they want me dead! This just proves that I really am important! Everything im doing really is making an impact, and these ignorant guys want to stop me, just like I was saying!". Its like when a little kid claims that the neighbor boy hit them and they show you the bruise they have to prove it, its a physical thing she has to show everyone that she's a victim.

When Jace/Tyce were picked up by major sites after the race/wreck, most commenters thought they were either mentally ill and incompetent or jokes. But one thing no one thought was that they were a credible threat. If Flynt just went with vague death threats, no one would notice, but he keeps bringing up people that were not only a joke, but were obviously incapable of carrying out any sort of plan.

That Flynt has been proven to not have actually filed any police reports regarding the threats he receives is just icing on the lie cake he's made.

Brianna Wu has now repeatedly claimed to have had a degree in the tech field. Any one of our veteran data-crunchers wanna join me in trying to figure out what and where? Because I spent 2 hours digging and uncovered no such certification, and I need to take a break from that for a bit.

Basically, they're trying to claim he's indicative of toxic masculinity and racism. They've also got a number of threads that are in full-fledged damage-control mode and repeatedly trying to claim things like TFYC's incident never happened and criticism of Sarkeesian isn't legitimate. I'd dig further into it, but I spent half an hour last night going over a speech in which Wu said fuck all and lied upwards of a dozen times for political brownie points, so I've earned a reprieve.

Also, without sounding like a prick, Dylann went into full nut-job territory specifically over the likes of what happened in Rotherham and reading all about that. He was racist and nuts before that, but the likes of Stormfront stirred up his crazy and then reading about Rotherham made him go pants-on-head. There were warning signs that he was going to do something like this, but nobody close to him did anything about it.

Which is horrifying.

The Rotherham factor in this also nicely encapsulates just how ignorant he and his fellow white supremacists were. Those were Pakistanis that committed the barrage of rapes, not Blacks. That racist sites would openly obfuscate this is no surprise, that they'd latch onto it like no one's business is, likewise, also no one's surprise.

But it remains truly terrifying just how much damage that incident managed to do indirectly, just via a combination of horrible people using Social Justice tactics and a government willing to abdicate its responsibilities.

You're also relatively normal and also have legitimate employment. If wu stops publicizing herself for even a moment her goose is cooked. People like her make friends and acquaintances who eventually silently abandon but by that time it's clear that she will smear you if you ever speak of your reasons for not liking her. Her pity stories and other histrionics attracting a fresh wave of people to exploit. Sort of like raven and some people I know in real life.
