We'll always debate about what caused Jim's current state. Personally having watched those streams I watched last week, I feel that he was simply growing tired of the current state of the internet and where it's heading. I also feel he was growing disillusioned with the content he was making and didn't want to be exposed to what he was being exposed to anymore.

It's a cult of personality thing, where people are so used to listening to the streamer stumble all over themselves that when one comes along who is semi-competent and flaunts their IDGAF attitude, it turns them into a charismatic "leader."
This is why people like Sargon were so deflated by him never taking up the mantle, which he never even said he wanted. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Regardless, let this all be a lesson for people to try and make themselves into somebody others would look up to rather than placing that kind of faith in an internet personality.

He was the 'cool' guy everyone wanted to be, their daddy. They think he's really funny. They saw him as the leader of the Gamergate stuff, so they were in awe of him. There was audio of him fingering a chick so if you aren't, getting puss while doing a stream seems like the ultimate chad. He had charisma, a huge following, a cult, and other e-celebs sought his approval so he was a kingpin of sorts. If Jim did a video against you, your career was over (see Mundane Matt). He would make guest appearances that livened up shows and the shows that got his stamp of approval thrived in both views and dollars. Everyone wanted to be him - that's why they worship him as a god.

Actually agree. Never really is anything to talk about. There seems to be little purpose to the thread except missing Jim or people like me bringing up his faults. That's why it should just be labeled a fan missing a creator page or memorial thread.
