That fucking rules. He's in so fucking deep. He's been a functional gambling addict all this time and the bankruptcy broke something in him. Now he's spending money faster than ever.View attachment 1768651

I remember watching some addiction show a long time ago. The subject of the episode was addicted to blackjack. The addict's reactions when losing a hand were strangely similar to Phil when losing Street Fighter or Call of Duty. "I didn't want to do that! What the fuck?! Two blackjacks in a row! You're cheating! I quit, I want a new dealer! A two?! This is bullshit! This deck is stacked!"That fucking rules. He's in so fucking deep. In "Needful Things" there was Buster who embezzled a bunch of the town's money to gamble on horse racing. King is no stranger to addiction, it would be interesting to see him write a character with a mobile game addiction. In the "Langoliers" there was a character that was desperate to crash his career with no survivors. In a fucked up way Dsp pumping even more money into this game faster and faster reminds me of this.
Would Steven King write into a modern story a character ruining their life with such a mundane, outrageously expensive interest?
My most frivolous vidya purchases are just battlepasses, which for $10-15 I get tons of use out of.
And my purchases are linked to multiple rewards programs so I will get $6-8 dollars back out of say, $30 in such purchases.
Perhaps a pig-roach like creature is the focus, although he’d really have to flex his writing muscles to explain how such a simple minded beast got access to a smartphoneIn "Needful Things" there was Buster who embezzled a bunch of the town's money to gamble on horse racing. He'd write himself as the mobile game addict, and Roland would push him in front of the truck. It'd be a mercy kill.King is no stranger to addiction, it would be interesting to see him write a character with a mobile game addiction.
Jesus... For a guy who quits at pretty much everything, I'll give him this, he ain't going down without a fight. Fucking cockroaches man. The worst part is he's infecting everyone else with his virus, and he doesn't give a shit!!
Why would he care? Do you think he cared when Rambo got fired because of dsp? Or cared about Leanna when they went ot the hospital? Why would he care about a random stranger?Jesus... Could he have gone back to the faction he started and renamed it?WeDroppedUQuick will hopefully be an appropriate title
Generally, those events are great for tedious work, and stress management because they just autoplay. It's mostly just the kids who grew up playing MMOs who now don't have the time to actively play something. It's an addiction. I can't believe any whales actually enjoy spending entire days during these events doing the same mindless click repeatedly and logging in just to check if they're collecting the same useless junk. They have to obsessively play because they spent an obscene amount of money, in an unhealthy cycle. The only part Phil may enjoy are the gacha pulls, but that's also sick addiction.
