General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It was a guy called JACK iirc, she passed all the stream throwing shit at him, IS THIS FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU JACK, IM GOING JACK SPEED, IS GOOD TO HAVE A PRO LIKE JACK IN THE CHAT
So you’re saying Korone... pulled a Jack move?

Also, I’m genuinely surprised, she normally doesn’t get snarky with chat even when they’re being awful. I guess maybe she’s finally reaching her limit.

Edit: Im glad Cover told the Gachikois that they can fuck off and die, my bro Oga is there simping for Pavolia as a man of class that like Milfs

Is it really simping if he Nihongo Jouzu'd her?
I really don't get the people obsessed with finding the dox of vtubers.
I wouldn't really call it an obsession, but I am interested to hear in their past careers and what they did before joining their current agency, so I can see "Oh, so that's what they were like before. Yeah, that makes sense." One thing that's interesting for Karen (at least to me) is tracking how she's evolved her career over time. Some of her original tracks as Dice were very...vitriolic against certain aspects of the music industry and Japanese culture, along with just straight shitposting like with Gang Gang Kawaii. Then they started to get more introspective about her personal struggles. Then she became Calliope and the same thing kinda happened so she never left that personality facet behind, but her lyrics now are much more confident and focused in a different direction, but some of her work still very much is rooted in Dice, like making a rap about bread or Cursed Night.

I came here just to talk more frankly about vtubers without having to worry about draconian discord mods or the wrath of T-chan and ended up just finding out interesting stuff about some of the girls I had followed before the EN crew; it's cool information but not necessarily what I'm here for. I will agree that people who come here for the sole purpose of learning the doxx are kind of scummy. It happens in reddit communities as well, but there people providing the doxx get assblasted over it, and rightfully so. If you're gonna go to a place, follow its fucking rules. I think people just come here for easy namedrops and face doxxes since KF and 4chan are kind of lawless but at least KF has a clean interface to look at. 4chan gives me a headache trying to make any sense of it and I actively used the site about 15 years ago.

Speaking of that, I'm trying to make sense of this shit here. Anyone who follows keeki got the rundown on it? I don't doubt the "one year visa" thing but I have extreme doubts about her being a Olympic participant or having something to do with working at the event in any official capacity.

Yeah, that makes sense, though I predicted it's going to be mid next year or even late 2021. If I'm not mistaken, Cover announced they're going to stop the expansion and strengthen their management because of Coco's incident. I think that's why we still haven't heard anything about HoloID 2nd gen. I know a couple of guys who knew the inside of Indonesian Vtubers, but so far it's all silent they said.

Speaking of HoloID, anyone still remember when Iofi got doxxed? Anyone still have the info? A certain cosplay photo in an Indonesian weebs convention got bumped recently because people caught wind it's Iofi, but a guy I knew said it's not. I want to check and match the pic and info
In case that any of you wanted it, here:

But, while looking at the Facebook post of this photo, I found something weird. Reza Lamunedo is supposedly the new Nijisanji ID Gen 5 VTuber, Reza Avanluna and he commented this on that post:
OPSEC idiot.jpg

Translation:
"Is this Iofi?"
"We should do a collab tomorrow, having different agency doesn't matter as long as it's with a trilingual (I might botched the translation)"

The replies from his comment indicates that he is Reza Avanluna, and both have the same name. He made these comments in the same timeframe of his debut. I don't know if this is something to care about but I think it's idiotic.

VShoujo is so fucking cringe and disgusting. Do they ever talk about anything else than sex? I saw also Nyanners rating toilets from her fans. Less class than peak degenerate Haachama.
You were expecting something about a group that has Melody on it?

she normally doesn’t get snarky with chat even when they’re being awful. I guess maybe she’s finally reaching her limit.
I wondered why she pick that particular comment considering the chat was going full speed but it was less snark and more roasting the guy

Basically this, and like I mentioned before, it's nice to be able to nebulously flow a conversation between their characters/the kayfabe and their real selves without fear of the wrath of troon jannies coming down on you or other whiteknight faggots telling you not to talk about that stuff. I like them for their characters but also for who they are, they're all very fun, nice people. I hate having to stop and be sure to "censor" myself from what I actually want to say in fear of any of that garbage from other 'community members.'

But yeah I'm not "obsessed" with finding out their doxx, I just like to know so I can have a clearer picture of them and support their other endeavors, if applicable.

Agree. Hey, speaking of, did y'all know they do "The Lewdcast," in addition to their regular content (and I use that term loosely)? See if you can watch more than one minute.

I still think them existing is a net-win for Vtubers like the Holos though, keeps at least SOME of the degenerates away.

Listening to her music in chronological order you can see a steady character arc. She goes from Bashing herself for one-sided love in "Words that i can say to you" and struggles of life in "Dice of a Generation" to finding it hard to trust people overall and being attached to them in "Hazy Skyscraper", Some self-worth issues and feeling like an unloved nobody (?(not sure about this one but seems like it) ) in "Soundless". "Wanted" from Alkatraz may be a song in charachter of the album but the line "Chasing your shadow alone till the sung goes down" can reflect her attachment struggles (I am in no way a psychologist, it's just my theory). But whole of "You're an ace kid" in that same album is all about dropping that self-worth issues from before, and fighting on the contrary to the haters and struggles of moving to japan. And her recent works of "Live again" and "Cursed Night" tells her of finding her inner peace and comfort in this new life and overcoming her past, reflecting on the past.

But take all that with a grain of salt, that's how i invision it after listening to her music almost non stop for 2 months.
She had it rough, she's now at her happiest in a while, never would i thought i'd have a celebrity crush on an emo reaper.

I started to actually listen to some more of her lyrics and yeah I'm pretty sure Hazy Skyscraper has like 500 different things compressed in those 4 and a half minutes, would call it her Magnum Opus to be honest, from what you said to general struggles with depression, etc. That song has it all.

A lot of her frustration from that probably wormed it's way into Sick Outta Fashion where she complains about artists overusing the fuck out of depression in their songs.

TL;DR: Demondice's discography is the best anime

"Sick outta fashion" is also a sort of wrap up to the whole strange fiction album, as the album is mostly about how modern music industry is full of shit and disgusting people

Jesus CHRIST this dude is an idiot. Damn, whst a shame, i did kinda like him. He comes off as someone new to Vtubers and wants to be spoonfed a doxx or something. Also who names their Vtuber persona with THEIR REAL NAME?

It's not that; she actually likes emo songs and grew up with that trash (hence why sang like 5 MCR songs and Panic At The Disco. I think it was more or less her talking about the fetishization of mental illness on social media, because every angsty kid will claim to have some sort of disorder in order to get sympathy points; I'm not sure if Karen herself suffers from anything (she very well might have mild anxiety) but I can agree with her sentiment that it's fucking disgusting people do this kind of shit. I can speak from experience since I've been clinically diagnosed with moderate general anxiety disorder and I have a friend who lives with panic disorder. It's not a fucking joke, it's just a part of our lives and it gets hard to be taken seriously when every snot nosed little cunt self-diagnoses as having ADHD or borderline personality disorder.

I don't mind self censorship since some good discussions can be had, and for the most part the two people in charge of the main hololive account on reddit do a good job, except that one time T-chan got real fucking pissed off at the assertion that the girls aren't allowed to work with the holostars or the time she locked a thread that translated the Aloe discussion before an official translation could come up, basically saying "we know who these people are and we know their translations are shit. Don't listen to them and wait for people who actually know how English fucking works to get one up on the video." T-chan is the only mod on the subreddit doing the job of community moderation; every other mod there is actually a hololive member that self-promotes or just makes stupid shit. One of the most upvoted (and stickied) posts there was this picture by Fubuki. Literally, that was fucking it. From what I gather, only thing T-chan actually does is make official posts related to milestones, clear out duplicates, and maybe deletes some comments made by assholes who found the sub from r/all. The only bad thing is not being able to discuss the entire body of work like we can here, but there are still people coming in saying YO YOU GUYS KNOW CALLI IS DEMONDICE RIGHT. Like...yes, and shut the fuck up about it, go talk about it somewhere else if you actually want to have a discussion.

I should just reiterate that the hololive subreddit is managed by Cover Corp itself (T-chan's a salaried community manager) and not just some volunteer jannies. They know a bit of what they're doing in terms of keeping that thing going, even if they're severely understaffed.
