On an entirely unrelated subject, how do you con a doctor into proscribing you Xanax?

I dont know. Doctors are trying to move away from benzo's where possible because they are so addictive and a high percentage of people with a prescription will at some point abuse them, even if only once or twice. BuSpar being a thing, and SSRI's and SNRI's often being good for long-term anxiety, means that they are only really necessary for short-term treatment, like to relax before a procedure or whatnot.
Always fun when you see a 60-something year old middle-class woman admitted to a drug and alkie unit for benzo detox (which can kill you, which is why they have to be inpatient), because back in the 80's they started taking benzos because why not (mother's little helper and all that) and they've been on it 30+ years. Havent seen this so much in the US, but saw several cases in the UK of GP's who indiscriminately put women on them for vague symptoms of anxiety or stress, and then each subsequent GP just kept renewing the script with no questions about if she actually still needed it. Which of course she did by then, she was physically and mentally dependant on it.

Oh it did happen in the US before the DEA got involved. During the 2000s I swear the majority of my geriatric patients were on either alprazolam or clonazepam.

no one in the history of earth has ever asked Bee any of those questions ever. Especially not after that tard fueled “acapella” mix she did.

I've seen someone "faint", just like that. The reason: so she could leave work early for a Halloween party because I wouldn't stay late for her. After the boss called the ambulance, which took her to the hospital (spoiler, nothing was wrong, but now that I think about it, she may actually have been a munchie due to other things she did), bitch had the gall to not only come back to pick up her halloween costume, but also returned to work a few days later like nothing happened. I did end up having to stay anyway, and I knew she was faking, so I refused to work with her after that.

DPMIW posted a really obnoxious video of her trip to the mall. Complains numerous times about children making noise in her presence and another dog barking in her presence. Some kids run past her and she has a meltdown and sits on the floor in a Mac store. At the end of the video she says she had a great time at the mall which I wouldn't have known if she hadn't said it because the whole video she was just acting like a miserable cow.

A "bar" is 2 mg alprazolam, which is scored into 4 doses. 2 mg is the largest therapeutic dose. It takes some tolerance building to get there (and then you're stuck there until you begin the slow weaning off process to minimize the likelihood of having a seizure, and deal with all the fun & IG glam-worthy symptoms that comes with a benzo taper). As far as I know, bars aren't heavily manufactured or prescribed as one dose in the US. During the painkiller clinic days in the SE US, they were everywhere-- they were prescribed in insane amounts alongside oxycodone/roxicet in cash only in-house pharmacies. Nowadays, you tend to see scripts of 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg X times/day. DPMIW had to have already been prescribed alprazolam. She's not getting prescribed 2 mg/day straight off the bat. She's also not going to die of starvation anytime soon due to being cut off a prescription antiemitic. This bitch is something else-- that poor dog has got to be miserable.
