Don't forget that she allegedly believed Ralph when he told her that the sex tape was leaked because he got hacked. She is reading from a script that Ralph wrote, PPP. It's unfair to hold that against her.

It really isn't complicated. In order to justify her own behavior she needed to trust him. If she didn't trust him, that would mean she was wrong and her own judgement is brought into question. Disappointment in Ralph alone wouldn't have been nearly as devastating as the realization that she can not trust her own judgement.

So once Faith's own faith in herself depends on Ralph being the right choice she is "forced" to play by his rules to prove to herself that her choice was right after all. So she read his script, probably more so she would defend her own artificial psychological stability, or rather to delay the inevitable disintegration of her world view and subjective sense of self integrity. That shit is hard for everyone, for much more mature, situated, wiser individuals, and I don't think it's rational to expect a 19 year old's first choice in that situation is to bite the bullet and accept the defeat out of hand. Especially since she was basically at his mercy isolated from everyone. Accepting that someone caused you harm is easier than accepting that you did it to yourself by, as in her case, giving up her autonomy away to alcoholic fat slob for no reason whatsoever.

This self neglect that she spiraled into is a serious warning once you factor the child into it. I said it hundreds of pages back, I'll repeat. Self neglect will cause self hatered. This will inevitably be reflected on the child. That kid will be scarred with mother's complexes. This will cause more self hatred in her, and it'll go on and on and on unless a very serious, long term (several years), deep introspection is done and she sorts her inner demons out. This doesn't require therapy, it can be done without any outside help, but it does take years.

I like how he goes after Lorelai for her passive language and then only refers to what Ralph has done in a circumspect manner—"the DMs" are manipulative and terrible, "poly relationships" are horrible, anyone who has heard him talk about relationships and fatherhood "already knows" what he would say about a situation involving these. But he still can't explicitly point to Ralph as the issue, just broadly gesture to an implicit controversy involving these elements in connection with calls to denounce Ralph, from which we're supposed to draw our own conclusions. The thing is, it isn't the DMs or poly relationships that are the problem here, it's Ralph's involvement in both of those that is the problem.

But I agree with @Thumb My Butthole, this is as reasonable of a response Rekieta will ever give regarding this, and it certainly doesn't excuse Ralph. I'd be more appeased (not that my opinion matters at all) if he explicitly pointed to Ralph as doing these things that he thinks are bad, but I don't expect that type of direct antagonism given his grift and sudden desire to stay out of internet drama when it involves people with whom he has affiliated himself in the past.
