It means what we've always known: Trump is out, and the GA runoffs are the last key to securing all that's needed to begin the work necessary to eradicate the Trump cancer and begin the road to the US as the progressive utopia it was always meant to be.

Speaking from an international point of view, Obama generally just had this vibe of being a cool dude in addition to the allure of being the first black guy in the White House. I remember thinking, "Huh, neat a black guy as the American president, that's pretty cool." Looking back at it, I feel like that air of celebrity kind of shielded him from criticism, as others have pointed out. I didn't really know shit about what he was doing, nor did I care cause his policies did not affect me in any way.

I think that's why he's still so fondly remembered to this day, people around the world liked him cause he was a likable guy. It makes me think that sometime within the past few decades there was this push to make presidents like celebrities to obfuscate what they do and all the fuckups they made. I guess that's why Trump's presidency felt so chaotic in comparison, cause every move he made was put under an electron microscope by the media and it forced everyone to really get into politics like they haven't done in a while.

Probably be something similar to the aftermath of the 1860 election. And Lincoln won that legitimatly.

Either way I expect more rural vs urban tensions to rise.

Here's the problem with your absolute doomerism, you seem to think that people take things lying down very easily, and I'm not blaming you considering just how the Right acts every time they're opposed by the left. Here's the issue, the reason why right wingers don't oppose is not necessarily because they're cucks, it's because they make a calculated decision on what they have to lose vs what they can win. Why don't right wingers go against antifa? Because they realize that they can lose their jobs, their bank account, etc. It's just not worth it because they have something at stake that they're not willing to lose.

Take me for example. Even after this election I thankfully still have my job, I'm still saving to buy a house, I have a girlfriend that I can marry and start a family with, I have possessions that can entertain me: books, movies, games, comics, etc. At the end of the day, giving up my life is just not worth it and I'd venture out to guess that most people do that same calculation when they take risks. You seem to think that government can just exist even without the consent of the population. That is simply not true. Libya and Egypt both got rid of the American backed governments after the Arab Spring because the astroturfed ones were not truly willed in by the majority of the population.

Everybody always quotes 1984 as the dystopian novel and you seem to think we're heading in that direction for conservatives. However, you have to remind yourself that in that book, we mostly look at the world from Winston's perspective, who is himself a member of the Party. Only 15% of the population are members of the party and have to live by the strict rules of the Big Brother government. The majority of the population, the plebs, are written by Orwell as not really having changed much from the working class of Britain. They still enjoy the same things: soccer, drinking, partying, etc. They even have a life expectancy that was average for the Brits in 1945 when the book was written (60 years old). They didn't act against the government because the government wasn't constantly flicking a finger at their foreheads and annoying them the way they annoyed the Party members.

What I'm saying is that I have a future, which is why you won't see me take direct action against Antifa or the lefties. But in your world, they would come for my job, they would come for my home, they would turn my girlfriend into disgusting fat dangerhair, they would put me in prison for not going to a rally, and troon out my kids, they would force me to watch their propaganda like I have a telesreen in my home, and on top of that, they plan to take me to a gulag. If that future that you're dooming over comes to pass, then I have nothing lose anymore, and a lot of people probably are probably going to listen a little more closely to that Boomerwaffen nutjob telling us to go bomb the judge that took everything from us.

TL;DR. Stop dooming, we're not going into gulags.

Trump has to be running the simulation somehow at this point, I can't explain it any other way with a swamp this deep working against him at every turn.
