Another day, another argument over the minutia of who is or isn't a pedo, the definitions of it and where the lines are. Digi is questionable precisely because he isn't some average joe blow cranking it out to a loli doujin every now and then or just liking art on a twitter feed, he actively obsesses over it to a major degree and has an audience of variable age ranges that also houses headcases that would do anything for him.

Lolicon started off as something Digibro expressed interest in from time to time. One big reason it's all what everyone seems to know him for is because drama whores kept claiming his fetish for lolicon means he wants to fuck kids. And since being called a pedophile carries a lot of social and potential legal implications, it's only natural for Digi to defend his stance, especially when people are being arrested for owning certain anime products in countries like Australia. Do I think he could've handled it better? Yes. He should've toned it down over time, but Digi, at least when he was in his prime, was always known for his controversial stances, not just lolicon, but anime, the practices of the industry, YouTube, relationships, and his unconventional lifestyle among others.

And by the way, most of those "headcases" are not Digi's old fans, they're trannies, homosexuals, cultural marxist manchildren, k,who latched onto Digibro when he touted himself as a trans-woman. The only old fans he has left are deluding themselves into thinking he'll make a comeback. The rest of the people who actually gave a shit about Digibro's content jumped ship, and if they were financially supporting him, unpledged from his Patreon en masse. Digi's M.O now is whoring himself out and basing his career on his identity.

This is just absolute madness.

Digibro's got a lot of mental hang ups, and I agree he could've handled it better, but as he once stated when his brain still had an inkling of being functional, he only cared about the opinions of his patrons, who were either otaku like him or just didn't mind the controversial aura surrounding him. He didn't have a reason to care about the opinions of the non otaku general public because he didn't answer to them. In that post, I was just explaining how Digibro became known just for lolicon and why he would defend that stance. Believe me I'm sick and tired of having this discussion about the metaphysics of lolicon too. I'd like to talk about the actual meat and potatoes regarding this whole saga. And I mostly kept my mouth shut about the subject, because I didn't want to talk about this shit either, you know, because I want to focus on shit that's actually true and relevant, but when uninformed philistine shmucks make the same unsubstantiated accusation of people that I know is demonstrably false while downplaying or ignoring everything else, it becomes so irritating that at some point it has to be addressed.

I know that most people on this forum aren't otaku, and that's perfectly fine. We're all experts in something, but one shouldn't pretend to be an expert in shit one doesn't know.

But no matter how controversial one's position on something is or how innocuous they put it, there will always be some people who take umbrage with it, and some of them might be obsessive enough to attempt to ruin your life, but that goes for everyone, lolcow or not, and it happens everyday to ordinary people.
