While I agree with the spirit of what you say, California has 1/8 the US population, and until this year, was running on Jerry Brown’s fiscally conservative budget at a huge surplus. Nephew Gavin actually tried to fight back against the legislature wanting insane handouts as soon as the people started sneezing.
