You got a point. I won't deny being from California I have seen people, regardless of race or ethnicity, who were poor and suffering from mental and physical debilitates. But African Americans unfortunately were always worst off because of their neighborhoods and communities were overrun by gangs, and neither the police nor the apologists who try to sweep the problems under the rug know how to fix it. With the post above it feels like the only way out is for someone who's black to work hard to better themselves and move on with your life or else the gangs will devour you whole.

Ironic how catering to male sexuality in Current Year may be deemed "sexist", promoting hostility between sexes. Of course, identity politics is about dividing - "cultural appropriation" says "only certain people can do certain things". "Diversity" is "less or no whites". "Marginalized" vs "oppressor".

Remember "separate but equal" from history?

I've heard that, no surprise, the journalist involved took things said by at least one of the rad fems she interviewed out of context. Unfortunately for the journalist, the interview was by email, and the rad fem is going to release the full exchange. Not that it will have the sort of reach that this absurd article had, nor that there will be any repercussions against the journo for lying, since that seems to be what journos do these days. when they release the transcript i'll post it.

There's a really interesting video by Ayishat Akanbi about how certain aspects of the left such as cancel culture, have made people less self-reflective and in some ways hypocritical. If we had more people who are as pensive and rational as Ms. Akanbi, we would get a lot more hard conversations out of the way and deeper understanding of differing ideals.



I also really like Inaya too, she comes across as being able to think for herself.

Jokes on them, they act as if bullfighters or mariachis are some sort of derogatory and bad stereotype when they are roles with heavy cultural meaning. And as a spaniard i will tell ya that when you show bullfighters around we don't get offended, the same way when you show typical spanish attire from different regions (like flamenco or muiñeira dancers). They, and specially their attire, are a symbol of spanish culture in the same way that Mariachis and their music are also a symbol of mexican culture. Saying that it's derogatory or that it's something they should be ashamed of would get some really fucking pissed.

You want a bad stereotype? Then it would be the typical fat bastard that is every day at the Cantina from dawn to dusk either sleeping, drinking or both. But since these people haven't got any sort of exposure to other cultures, they think that the moment typical culture surfaces thet think it's demeaning when people actually take pride in it because it's an important part of their heritage.

Well, they certainly managed to get Pearl's character right: that of an arrogant bitch that talks down to the people she considers lesser.
Also, there were no black roman warriors, and the other things were only mentioned because back then they were so rare as to be noteworthy.
