Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

This game makes stalker look stable. How is there so much jank? What did they do for 8 years?
Hormone shots and Soy lattes by the truck load to cope with how they were hemorrhaging talent.

For some reason they don't have a lot of huwite skin tones. It's like ME:Andromeda all over again.
Good point.
Actually, though, the weird part about Mass Effect no one realizes is that the entire world setting, especially from its companion novels, is anti-white in a way that's insanely creepy, with the lore being that as humanity formed a global society to confront the alien invasion and reach to the stars via Mass Relays mankind kept racially mixing and White races became all but extinct (this is literally the way they describe it in so many terms) and yet the features commonly associated with White races--blond or red hair, lighter skin, green eyes, etc.--were being grafted back into humanity via vanity surgeries like "skin lightening" and genetic alteration.

So the reason there's more and more racially ambiguous people in each Mass Effect game isn't just because the writers/devs were always leaning hard on SJW representation stuff. It's more to do with how, literally, in-lore, White peoples are almost extinct and mankind is one big mud pile of genetics which keeps artificially grafting genetically out-bred racial traits back into itself.
The novels and the games, if you pay close attention, keep lauding mankind as superior to all other alien races because of the incredible genetic variability among each person, hence why the fast-talking scientist Mordin basically says that racist (speciesist?) stereotypes among alien races makes sense since there's barely any genetic diversity among Asari, Korgan, etc. so you can tell how smart one of them is by looking at them, whereas you can't with humans.
However, in the novels and in the games, it's hinted that mankind will eventually become racially homogenous like the alien races because the global society has totally overcome any racial preferences (and because said preferences can just be genetically/surgically augmented in anyway). Couple this with what Mordin said, and...well you'd have a recipe for a post that'd get you banned from half the internet.

TL;DR Mass Effect was a dystopia all along.

I dont know what people are doing to get all this bugs and glitches tbh, I've played for a couple of hours and the only real bug Ive seen was a guy t-posing
The game is alright, its a clunkier deus ex with an open world, I enjoyed what I've played, but I didnt even pay full price for it as I bought it half and half with a friend with a shared gog account
Edit:Im playing with a 1060 6 gb with mid settigs, after te nvidia drivers update I am getting 45 to 50 fps

To those that are wondering, no, you can't go completely naked in-game and the few NPCs that I've talked to don't react.

Well this is truly console fps. My 3080 and ryzen 8 core 4.5 ghz cpu is getting like 30 - 40 fps outside once you hit free roam. I'm playing it in 3440 x 1440 with Nvidia recommend "performance settings". I do get 60 fps indoors with neon lights blasting me in the face with rtx and dlss with drops to 45. Monitor can do 120 hz so will see how the rest of the game goes.

O yeah had 5 cop cars clip through a building and pound my ass.
My i7-6950X, twin Titan X Pascals, and 128 gigs of system RAM dropped to about 7 fps on 4k/Ultra. Dropped it down to 1080p and the framerate seems fine on Ultra. This one is a resource hog. This is going to be the next Crysis; it won't be comfortably playable on midrange systems on higher settings for another 5 years at least. Twin 3080s in SLI would probably do the trick, though.

Have the TLOU2 Stans started trash talking CP2077 yet, with more and more reports about how the game feels unfinished?

Only 3090s can do sli in the 30xx series.

I think the the culprits are objects or textures not loading correct. I have noticed when I was out side with an npc popping in and just textures loading at there lowest quality. In buidlings there is none of that but outside it goes ham with these problems.

Looking around it seems a lot of other people are having a similar with the game hard crashing at the same point multiple times, but everyone else seem to all be crashing in a different spot to me. They are all at least getting control before crashing at a specific trigger, while I literately can not get past the first 5 seconds of intro animation.

Yeah, I'm not even pirating this game

I can't remember how soon after launch I got Witcher 3. I feel like it was within the first week. I know people talk about Witcher 3 being janky at launch but all I remember was the framerate was janky and the horse showed up on rooftops. Nothing like this.

Then again, maybe it's just all thetoxins coursing through my body getting to my brain at this point. Hard to believe it's been like 5 years since then.

Have you restarted your PC?

I will then put it away for a year or two until ray tracing GPUs become more abundant in the marketplace.
There's something seriously fucky going on with GPUs right now. You'd think it was just a typical "paper launch," but there are reports that Nvidia shipped a fuckton of their new 3xxx GPUs to miners. No idea if AMD did the same thing, but I can't find any stock of their new cards either. Do the scalper shitheads even have any to scalp or have they come up dry as well?

The way things have been this year with GPUs, I'm not even remotely confident there will be an adequate supply of them next year at all either.

The good news- the monorail does show up...occasionally. And it's sort of weird, being detached minicars. Not sure how I feel about that.

One opinion- I think that the playable area could have been spread out a bit more, maybe as minihubs connected by highway. For example, Pacifica could have been further southwest, connected to the Heywood via highway.

That way you get intense moments full of activity, while allowing for some moments of transversal that feel like you cross some actual distance. If you line that highway space with decorative building shells, it can also allow the city to also feel much bigger.

At the moment it does feel like you cross the city too quickly, which is something not helped by the fact that the cars are so huge and boaty.

Spreading the content out into hubs could have also helped with the actual geographic layout of the city. I know that there's the whole nuke thing that's used as an excuse, but the city seriously does feel sort of compressed compared to its source material.

Input based on the first hour or 2. It plays well enough, but there are a fuckload of visual bugs. So far I’ve seen Jackie walk through an elevator door before it opened and had him have 2 pairs of chopsticks in his hands while eating out of one of those chinese takeout boxes. At least there seems to be something here under the jank. That’s more than could be said for 76.
