He has no self-defense claim because not only wasn't the bouncer threatening further action against him, the bouncer was entirely justified in using reasonable force to remove him from the property, where he was not only trespassing, but blocking the entrance and harassing and disturbing patrons. For that matter, bouncers have taken someone down with a punch, fucking up their face badly, in similar situations and been found justified to do that, too. The bouncer handled it reasonably well. Although he could have done without the yelling, that isn't illegal.
