Hacienda is more of a country estate than a farm. On an actual farm it would be more like the main building. It could be used to refer to the entire complex - but is less related to the actual fields and moreso the structures / facilities.

Also, haciendas are often used in the drugs trade now as a front for storage and money laundering, so yeah - definitely a narco. Someone call the Florida division of the DEA.
