Disaster BitChute bans the Nordic Resistance Movement Channel - Bitchute begins a new era of censorship

CENSORSHIP. The “free speech” video website BitChute has banned the Nordic Resistance Movement’s account and a large number of other Resistance Movement videos.

BitChute has banned the Nordic Resistance Movement’s official channel, the NRM radio channel and has deleted a large number of videos uploaded by other users featuring the Resistance Movement in what appears to be a mass wave of censorship.

The “free speech” video site replaced the Nordic Resistance Movement’s account with the following message on Thursday:

Your channel has been blocked for breaching the BitChute Community Guidelines.
An email was sent to your registered email address detailing the reasoning behind this decision.
If you have not received it, or wish to appeal against the decision, then please contact us.

However, despite this claim, no emails have been received to our registered email address from BitChute. In addition, no warnings or notifications about our videos were received by the Resistance Movement from BitChute prior to the ban.

This is not the first instance of BitChute censoring legitimate content on its site. Recently, BitChute blocked a number of popular channels in various countries, forcing users to use a VPN in order to view them. The censorship followed BitChute’s statement in July in which they “encouraged organizations like Hope Not Hate” (a UK-based “anti-racist” organisation) to “help them improve their processes”.

This is awful, BitChute is where a lot of videos banned elsewhere can end up. This is the first time as far as I'm aware they've banned a whole channel like this, which sets a bad precedent.
Not to mention Hope Not Hate is essentially the UK ADL and it's funded by Soros.

looking at their website they don't seem any more racist or antisemitic than a ton of content creators on the platform and they were hardly the most popular, i dont think ive ever seen them trend
i suspect they may have, unknowingly or not, posted something legitimately illegal, but i wanna hear Bitchute's side instead of taking shots in the dark, not receiving the email may just have been a bug

Nordic Resistance Movement is really an old-school nazi organization, that aims to bring about Scandinavian version of Third Reich, with all that entails. They openly oppose democracy, promote for national socialism and are extremely racist. It's common nowadays for the left to claim that anyone right of Mao is a nazi, but these guys really are nazis and don't even claim to be anything else.

In all honesty all platforms sold as "free speech" alternatives are just dead end echo chambers that can be easily be choked by outside forces because they lack mainstream popularity or economic viability. Bitchute basically wants to be alive but they are balancing between their audience being not mainstream while govts and ngos would pretty much like to see their audience gone.

Also while a real YouTube alternative would be good, not even Google can make it totally profitable and they have to use their own deep pockets to keep the site afloat. The resource requirements of on demand video streaming are insane. That is why nobody seems to be able to just start a YT competitor and stay alive.
