Honestly, after seeing all these reactions to Karen constantly outing herself for the last month or so, plus the fact that I've been hearing rumblings that the YouTube algorithm itself seems to be directing people to Demondice after having only watched Calli's stuff with no prior knowledge to the roommate identity, I'm beginning to suspect that it really doesn't matter so much in this one specific case that Calli's real identity is becoming more and more of an open secret.

Hell, maybe she wants it this way considering how many people who originally came for Calli found out about the Demondice identity and decided to throw views and money at that as well.

It's not new, I got several kson onair videos in my recommended after I started watching Coco.
Calli may have outed herself as Karen, but I dont think she will top the oopsie Coco did a while ago.

What ever happened with Pokimane's vtuber bullshit? She still trying to cash in on vtubing or is she too busy with drama and rumors she fists herself to cuck Fed?

Not rats, mice. I'm not sure if she knows the difference but by the description of them being small, it's mice. She should just buy a few traps and she'll be fine.

She seems to welcome the new viewership so long as they don't bring up Calli's existence to her or her ties. I think it's a clause within Cover's contract that you can't use their intellectual property to promote your other material. If they were able to do it, you think Ina would remain silent on the fact that she's Nagu? Gura and Amelia are special cases since they threw away their previous identities to become part of hololive and in Gura's case, "irregular drunkposting" isn't really much of an identity to begin with.

When I first realized who she was, I really wondered what she thought of the whole situation. Mister Jewel Box had just come out a few months prior, which she had worked on. In case anyone is unaware, the song is basically about how THHK feels extremely overshadowed by some drawing in his previous music video, who received a ton more comments asking about her gender than THHK basically received in his entire career thus far. I did catch her livestream immediately after it came out where she had to reassure the viewers that no, THHK doesn't actually hate the success he got from Princess, but also mentioned something along the lines of the sentiment resonating with her somewhat. I can't remember her exact words, unfortunately. I wish the stream wasn't gone so I could go back and look, but I guess I know why it was deleted. It did show her face after all.

Actually, now that I think about it, I wonder if she knew she was going to be in Hololive at that point in time. Mister Jewel Box came out July 22nd, so her audition should have been sometime around then, right? I wonder if she was talking about that.

That song is even more applicable to Karen than THHK... Kind of. Rather than her creation killing the creator, she became her creation and killed her old self in the process?

And yeah, I know, Dice isn't completely dead, but I don't foresee any Dice music coming out while she is still Calli. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong. I don't think I follow Karen as close as some others on this board, so maybe SALTE knows if she has said anything about Dice productions?

She mentioned having something big for next year on Twitter before Yummy Yummy Yummy came out, so that's something.

Damn Youtube-Kun has it out for Karen, outing her roomate, banning her wife and making her forget her. One struggles to think what fiendish scheme youtube will come up with next to dunk on the drunk reaper.

I feel like saying Mister Jewel Box applies more to Karen than THHK is a pretty damn big exaggeration, especially for those reasons, and last of all

Does she even care about showing her face? There's plenty of music videos with her plain to see in the front, no idea why she might have deleted it but I kind of doubt it's because it showed her face

Probably the latter. Also I think she realized that while the indie vtubers were warm and receptive, most didn't give a shit and a lot of people in the various communities already know of her antics in the past and that it was an attempt to cash in on the trend. The simps already following her probably prefer her real face and she doesn't have enough personality to make it worth watching for people who prefer 2D.

I meant mostly in the literal sense. Karen has replaced Dice with Calli as far as her public-facing persona goes. Dice was Karen while Calli is still her, but with this character overlaid on top. And yeah, it was an exaggeration. It was a mistake to say more than THHK. But I think it still applies quite a bit to her.

By the time I tried looking for it, it was missing. I assumed that she nuked all her streams on the Demondice channel before going live as Calli. But maybe they were never archived at all? I'm pretty sure they were for at least a short amount of time though... But it was months ago. I can't remember exactly.

You know what's funny to me is that I never would've even guessed Dice streamed beforehand until Google conveniently turned up this donation page for her from Streamlabs. I think I mentioned it once before in the thread previously, but it bears repeating for this context.

It's also not much of a reach whatsoever to be able to match the identities together when this is Dice's tip notification:
