Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

I knew people who turned out like this in SEA. Perfectly fine while growing up in Asia. Spend a few years abroad in university and they become bitter, everything is racist people. If he's half, from Singapore, and now works in the UK in something related to Kew Gardens, he's likely from a very wealthy background. Very weird seeing this half asian act as if he's fully Chinese when he's not. Just a case of upbringing I guess.
Yeah I think there are particular issues. High status, even if 'other' in Asia. Life of privilege even without that much money (by global standards) because lots of poor people in Asia to do shit for you. Move to Europe and suddenly you have no status, no cheap food, and have to do everything for yourself

It turns out his undergraduate degree was in business administration (https://www.hortweek.com/interview-...ile-grow-own-drugs/ornamentals/article/981579) , now called Business, though more recent reports have incorrectly stated he came to the UK to study ethnobotany. (https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/3382152/james-wong-chelsea-flower-show-countryfile/)

His biology qualifcation is just a 1-year MSc https://www.kent.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate/189/ethnobotany which his business degree didn't equip him for in anyway. [Edit: this is not a biology qualification, it's a social science . It's not about the mechanisms in plants or whatever, it's anthropology with plants. So he's very poorly qualified on matters like food safety or whatever, because he doesn't really have any kind of science education.]

His claims seem quite fluid

I found it highly doubtful that of all the many English-speaking ambitious children that there were in Singapore who had better grades than him that he was awarded a scholarship to study in the UK. It is much more likely, especially studying archetypal 'Asian' degree Business, that his parents paid for him as an international student (it's somewhat possible in 1999 he would have been free because he had a UK passport or otherwise scammed in his way into the system.)
I'm not sure how difficult it is to get to work for Kew, as it's not obviously well-paid, and if he spent the last 20 years identifying as Asian, then this would have opened doors for him as he would have been a novelty as a non-white (kinda) person interested in gardening. I don't think this comes from this family wealth.

She has some virtue-signalling about Native Americans, and I guess she is rightly pointing out that some people don't like the term 'tribal'. And he's like 'STFU you white bitch, I can say what I'm like because I'm not white, and you need to shut your damn mouth'

I mean wtf does a guy who is half white, half Chinese known what it's like to be looked down as part of a primitive tribe? In Malaysia the actual native (non-Muslim) tribes are looked down as primitive by the Muslim majority

which is the same thing in Indonesia https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-41981430

The Muslim majority literally wants to eradicate every part of their culture and replace it with 'allahu akbar' and camel fucker costumes, and they see absolutely no value whatsoever in their traditions, and because those people live in the jungle and don't have any money or influence, they will die out in a generation or two. This guy's Chinese identity otoh is shared with 1.3 billion people many of whom spend very large amounts of money preserving their historic culture, language, religion, etc., and is no way threatened by anything.

And he's like 'I'm fRoM BoRNeo'.

He definitely has a lot of chutzpah, and this angry IDpol stuff seems to work out well for him, as opposed to the normal Chinese route of 'working harder and smarter than other people'. I mean, Chinese getting turned down from Harvard with better scores than blacks don't talk like this at all. Hell Chinese people in Malaysia definitely won't get anywhere with his approach.

UWCSEA... This guy is from a loaded family. I think thats 10kSGD+ a term school. High averages as well (average of 36+ for IB, that's an A across the board). Lots of wealthy expats put their kids in there, so he would have met a lot of whites and people of other races growing up. He is 110% the kind of person I thought he was.

It's obvious from his profile picture that he's a hapa.

And he actually grew up in Singapore, so it's not really clear what the relevance of being born in London is.

View attachment 1784456

I mean, imagine saying someone who had spent their entire childhood in Singapore that they had much to learn about Britain. So racist.

Especially as he constantly pleads that he's either a foreigner who doesn't know how to speak English properly, be kind, or gets sniffy that he's treated like a foreigner who doesn't know how to speak English properly

He seems like a particularly angry prick. Why does he think he gets to be angry at people with pronouns in their bios saying don't use the word 'guys' when addressing a British audience, because it offends trannies or whatever, but everyone has to suck his tiny hapa cock because he had elite status as the whitest guy at school in Singapore and now gets hired because gardening has to be representative (not of the people actually gardening, but of some part of London, and he thinks everyone has to humour the tedious details of his identity

View attachment 1784495

What's his next line 'It's normal to call black people negros in Singapore, STFU bitch'. Imagine learning Chinese in London and then moving to Shanghai and telling them they are speaking it wrong.

I'm slightly confused as to why he's so angry, but I guess he's LARPing as a 'person of colour', and he thinks that's how you have to behave.

His past tweets are mostly saying how shit Britain is, while he never manages to say anything actually bad about Singapore.

He's upset if people want to eat locally grown stuff:

View attachment 1784538

Gardening is racist? Are we being fucked with right now? That guy must have one hell of a complex about racism if he's seeing racism and xenophobia when people talk about plant cultivars. They're trying to prevent the ecosystem from being trashed by invasive weeds you fuckstick, that does not somehow translate into them hating brown people. If you are equating immigrants to the plants that invade, breed to the point they choke out all the biodiversity in an area and irreparably damage the health of the ecosystem, then maybe you're the one who is the fucking racist.

Maybe one of his parents is a moderately high-level civil servant? Former Brit colonies tend to give "scholarships" to their worthless spawn specifically to waste time in the Caliphate.

I'm not sure how difficult it is to get to work for Kew
Does he actually work for Kew or is he just an unpaid loudmouth "spokesman"? This dipshit has a Wikipedia entry. But while the page details how "(h)is mother is from Newport, Wales, and Wong retains a slight southern Welsh accent", it doesn't say he was hired by Kew, merely trained at there.

He is not even a botanist, but an ethnobotanist, i.e. Cultural Studies but with plants. I doubt he can tell Rubisco from Ribena. Kew has no use of his type.

Nope it's because they are protected by the 1st amendment and that was upheld by the Supreme court of the united states after some idiots tried shutting them down violently.

if the KKK are able to protest civilly and not cause trouble why can't BLM? are the racists rednecks more civilized than the kangs?

I don't know how you could realistically claim to have had a 'Singapore state school education' when you verifiably went to a least two incredibly exclusive international schools.

That's fairly obviously half-white, half-Asian. But 'indigenous Bornean?'

it says when they tested people in Beijing, which is a loooooooooong way north of Malaysia/Singapore, they were 72% 'NE Asian', and 28% 'SE Asian'.

I found some '23andme' results and some '100% Chinese' Singaporean came out like 20% Chinese, 80% SE Asian. So this guys 54/46% Chinese/SE Asian DNA father is probably typical of Chinese in the region

Tanglin Trust school was/is the premium school in Singapore to put your British kid in if you want them to go on and do A-levels abroad, or that's what I understood it 10 years ago. Apparently that too has switched to IB and is one of the top schools in the world in terms of average grade achievement. Again, another very expensive and very well renouned school.

This guy is clearly trying to be something he's not. With all the weird claims you pointed out that don't add up. I think it's a combination of the liberal indoctrination you see in most universities and him having no discernable identity to latch onto, because he is culturally and racially mixed.

He can't claim to be either white or Chinese (though he tries to link himself to his Asian side). He can't claim to be culturally Singaporean because he isn't part of the norm there. He went to two very expensive, top private schools, he mixed up with predominantly white expats or other equally wealthy Chinese or Indians, and because he's Malaysian Chinese he didn't have to do National Service (something that that really is a rite of passage there for boys). He seems to want to cling onto some form of identity, so he either discards his white side, or tries to spice up his Asian side with "borneo native" or whatever other nonsense.

Amazing find. This guy is an unneutered Banana Wu. Dig deeper and we'll get a thread on him.

BTW I read up about the Iban people. Although they look Chinese (which presumably gives Wong a pretext to latch onto them), genetic evidence points to an affinity to Thai, Cambodian and Indonesian people. And from Wikipedia,

"After being Christianized, the majority of Iban people have changed their traditional name to a Hebrew-based "Christian name" followed by the Ibanese name such as David Dunggau, Joseph Jelenggai, Mary Mayang, etc".
"James" is Christian enough, but somehow I don't think "Wong" is an Ibanese name?

This might be a dumb question but what does "indigenous" mean in this context?
It means the self-declared privilege to claim moral superiority.

This might be a dumb question but what does "indigenous" mean in this context? I've always thought the term was confusing- isn't everybody indigenous to somewhere? Isn't "indigenous Iban" redundant, or are there nonindigenous Iban people?
This one is a 4chan troll, I believe.
I think the whole "white people invented the concept of biological sex and gender roles" and "BIPOC have had 3rd genders for centuries until European colonization" could easily evolve into this. You already see a lot of "You can only identify as [this made-up gender] if you are [insert any race, disability, ethnicity, etc]".
