A more apt description would be how we look at lobotomy-- something that was taken as an acceptable medical procedure despite the fact that everyone knew the litany of issues with it and its inefficacy.

Thing is, nobody built a movement and subculture around the lobotomized.

God. Where to fucking start. I used to be a huge fan of Jim back in 2016, but kind of grew out of it once he started throwing hissy fits because Steam loosened up on it's moderation practices or some shit.

One of my best friends to this day imitates him all the fucking time (though no longer watches his content as far as I know). I never would have guessed that he'd LITERALLY START DRESSING LIKE A WOMAN and start HRT. Is there something in the fucking water?

What the fuck is going on.

For real though. who still watches the Jimquisition in 2020? You're probably more retarded than the people who still watch Angry Joe or Smosh.
There's way better reviewers who can do the job with more objectivity, detail, and without accusing anyone who disagrees with wrongthink.
You've seen one episode of Jim Sterling, you've seen them all; a homosexual with Moviebob-tier smugness and obesity rants about how the industry that feeds him has been dead for years, yet the reason it's going down the shitter is the very same attitude and ideals Jim loves to spout.

maybe im being very optimistic here but it genuinely surprises me that he hasnt lost a pound of weight since the destructoid days. he might have even gained weight. for someone who is self-aware of being a fat fuck and has injuries that are only exacerbated by being obese, youd think hed try to shit a FEW pounds. i know were talking about a lolcow here, but... i dunno, this is probably just lingering attachment talking.

this was actually the tipping point. not only is his new intro absolutely foul and tacky, but it also killed any idea of him playing a character - a fashy dictator, or a perverted ringmaster. now its just jim, in front of a greenscreen (like so many others), moaning and groaning. all the things that made his show genuinely stand out (a physical set, a distinct theme, etc) have been excised. it makes me wonder just what happened, because unlike his last change (the switch from dictator to ringmaster) which he warned people about ahead of time and eased people into, the change from jimquisition to jim sterling whining hour was extremely abrupt. was it his bloated ego making him think he was above easing his fanbase into abrupt changes? or did something happen behind the scenes?

It's really not uncommon for fats to decide not to lose weight, even when confronted by debilitating health issues. That isn't just a lolcow thing.

*edit* okay, I haven't followed Jim Sterling's videos for a few months now having had other things occupy my time. Is he ACTUALLY trooning out? Cos fat blowhard that he is, last I knew he had a wife, and he seemed the least likely to go that way.

Ah, the old "rules for thee". Us doxing is bad, because trannies, but him doxing is okay, becuase duh, obviously.

Also, I want to note, it's not 41% or 47%. We hit 50% this year for trans suicide attempts.

Right after his most recent video came out I said in response that it was a bad idea to treat HRT like it was this cute benign thing (he had some pin or something about how great "titty skittles" are), when in reality it's really very hard on the body and that people should address whatever issues have them so emotionally screwed up in the first place rather than channeling all their issues into an obsession over their gender or fetishism, and that despite anyone's position on the modern trans issue that everyone should agree these are serious medications and procedures that shouldn't be treated lightly, and today I woke up to my YT account permanently banned/locked out after 7 years on the site, and I'm ashamed to admit I'm sort of upset about it tbh.

So in other words I feel like he or his audience probably knows exactly what's going on and they really don't like to hear it.
