What have the economic endeavours of the ranch and its effectiveness been like so far?
First, they wanted to become an alpaca farm. That plan failed for various reasons.
Then they apparently figured that the solution was simply to get more alpacas. This seems to me like some sort of intuitive, haphazard solution. Kinda like lighting a bundle of matches in a stormy night for it not to blow out. To add they acquired various farm animals as well. Neither action seem to have been very effective either.
Then, they made a garden in hopes of subsisting themselves. However, as many already have pointed out, it was far too small to really be of any use to their household.
Now they have decided to dabble in trash sorting, which, again, doesn't seem like a viable plan either.
I think someone mentioned Penny buying a 3d printer somewhere in the thread. I think they sold some keyrings but not sure.
Now, all of this makes one wonder if they get any income at all and if so, from where? They may sell a little wool but as many have pointed already this doesn't seem like a good strategy for various reasons.
Then there is Kevin which many believe economically supports the farm through his inheritance. However.
As pointed out here:
Chapstick4Lyfe
Through his e-begging Kevin has from August through mid November scrapped together over 1512$ from donators
But according to:
CobraPlissken
He has in that same span of time only spent around 500$ of those money on toys that we know off.
Makes me wonder if the other transgenders on the ranch not only goes along with Kevin's e-begging but rather encourages it and makes use of that money themselves? Maybe they let him slack because his job (unwittingly to Kevin) really is to scrape money from the trans community? To add, Kevin has more twitter followers than Penny, Bonnie and the ranch itself combined so he might bring in the bacon by simply raising awareness of the ranch by interacting with other horny transgenders who then donate to him or the ranch.
To be fair, Kevin also spent some 800$ on getting Harley to come around, so that would only leave 200$ to spare but then again, this might have been something of a decision that Kevin made without informing the others. At the very least, he hasn't been spending as much of his inheritance as we have been lead to believe so far.
So how about the (true and honest) donations to the ranch?
They have a gofundme (what happened to that?)
And a patreon. Which currently brings in 720$ a month.
Do we know if they get donations from other sources? I saw a post on r/gendercritical where the ranch asked for donations around the start of this thread.
Now look at this.

Eco-friendly terms.
Maybe there is a reason as to why they decided to make a (tiny, basically useless) garden and get into trash sorting.
They seem to rely mostly on donations so their new endeavours might be nothing but pet projects that will raise awareness about their ranch, labelling it as an eco-friendly undertaking.
This could in term lead to more people donating to their ranch simply to support a good cause if anything. Same with their publicized attendance of the trans rally.
I believe they started out trying to build a ranch in good faith but at some point (wittingly or unwittingly) transitioned to follow (wittingly or unwittingly) a business strategy like:
- make feel-good projects and have Kevin tweeting
- get donations from the publicity
- repeat
All in all it seems their income mostly consists of people donating to their undertakings because their fans enjoy seeing queer, horny women building an eco-friendly paradise complete with cute animals like alpacas.
It's like a circus more than a ranch.
