Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

A version of this exact argument cropped up during Gamergate, except then it was about demanding "representation" for women and insisting established brands include female gaming avatar versions in all their products. Well, most gamers are young(ish), white, heterosexual males, and their choices reflect this, so predictably, this campaign flopped hard. Even when the creators went out of their way to design female versions of the popular playable characters (like Fem!Shep) surprise surprise, most of them were never used by the target audience.
I never understood this. When I game it doesn't matter to me the sex of the character I'm playing (with the exception of MMOs since it's more role playing.) Usually it's the back of the head or first person view. It's the quality of the game. In GTA5 I'm more invested in the cars and the guns than who I'm playing. Although I didn't really care for Trevor. 😎

I dunno, some of these trannys are pretty large and I would not want to be cornered by one.
Yes.. the number of huge dudes on HER is why I started posting them. Telling me I should date one, or else I have some kind of irrational fear.. nah, it feels pretty rational

I only used profiles with heights listed, but this guy is also likely over 6' looking at the photos and at this fucking anvil of a skull. This man could rip me in half like a phone book. I see this and I turn the other way.

I recall watching an interview where the developers of the Prince of Persia videogame realized that they had accidentally created a game women like and were trying desperately to figure out what the hell they did.
The markets there, just nobody knows how to tap it. Though the way things are going we’ll get a trans Zelda before getting a playable Peach.
This is the thing about representation in vidya— companies wanna make money. And currently, women are largely not spending 60 a pop on brand new vidya releases like men are. Of course companies are going to try and see if more women in games will lead to sales, because if it does work (which it turns out, it usually doesn’t), that’s a big new market.

The thing about trans representation in live action anything is troons insist the characters only be played by trans actors. Maybe there were a handful of lesbians/bi women complaining about Tatyana Maslany or Eliza Clark playing non-straight female characters, but I overwhelmingly saw lots of positive reactions to Orphan Black and The 100. Whereas FTMs have gotten films cancelled because the actor wasn’t an FTM.

Make a game with a goal other than violence (in the case of Prince of Persia, platform-hopping)
Make it play at a slightly relaxed pace.
Add tons of atmosphere and aesthetic.
Add some handsome men with their shirtsleeves off.

How am I doing so far?
I'd buy it.

"Enslaved: Odyssey to the West" was pretty well received by women, IIRC, and it had most of those. Attractive male character (in a rugged, probably-never-bathes kind of way), platforming emphasis, detailed and interesting world with an interpersonal relationship at the heart of the narrative ... Oh, and some robots or whatever.

OTOH, I don't ever recall losing interest in "Doom" just because I couldn't see the Doom Guy's glistening pecs or do world-building sidequests about what cacodemon #314 is up to. So ... your mileage may vary?
Makes me feel like maybe there's a thing going on with trying to compensate for their extreme emotional fragility with physical violence instead. Or, the thought of it, I guess.
Give that Kiwi a cigar.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!!!!

Now I want to play Cyberpunk 2077.

EDIT: and this is why you don't cater to troons and progressives. Because they will always find something "problematic" with it.
The evil Terves have infiltrated CDPR to invalidate all the awesome transbians and achillean mlms :(

Worked for Detroit: Become Human if memory serves me right.

Long time lurker blah blah blah, r/actuallesbians had a normal one today crying about evil terfs *gasp* downvoting their posts. Started with this post, imagine being this fragile

This comically childish post written by a teenager has 2k upvotes because of course it does. This is a teenage girl who not only feels the need to validate a bunch of grown men's feelings, but thinks she has some sort of privilege over them because they say they're women

Hmm maybe you got downvoted for posting something super weird and creepy about your "boobies"? No, must be the the terfs.

good thing I'm not a trans exclusionary radical feminist, just someone who disagrees with you on gender and happens to be female! Surely I won't be called a terf, right? Right??

Lmao that Jessica Jones one must have been posted by an undercover TERF. Been a while since I watched it but isn't Kilgrave literally the worst person ever who brainwashes people into terrible stuff? Way to tell on yourself otherwise
I thought so too, but his post history reads so much like a normal reddit troon's, I want to believe he's just too autistic to see the irony

Damn Polaks! How dare you to exclude troonbians & Gaydens!

Also I love how CDPR are terfs now. :story:

I'm in the "they're too autistic to get the implication" camp as well.
If you'll forgive my own bit of autism here, not only is Killgrave the bad guy, not only is Killgrave a manipulator, but he canonically is the way he is as a result of both things beyond his control and child abuse. His whole existence is something broken and wrong and unfixable.

Can you play as a bisexual lesbian with one or multiple persons (or beings) as your headmates? Would be nice if we could also choose between diverse genders, y'know? The binary is so restrictive, I never feel like I can identify with any character since they are not exactly like me in all their superficialities. So, being able to set your ethnicity should be a must. Of course you should also be able to change everything at all times. Like, sometimes you feel like a he-lesbian, other times you identify as straight, would be nice if the fluidity of gender and sexuality would get reflected in a game like this. Also, in general, like, could we just, like, not do any body shapes? Ideally it should be something everyone can see themselves in, I feel like? Blobs are perfectly fine to represent most people anyway, like, you'll know who they are when they'll tell you, can't just assume stuff xD

If you implement any of this, I'm sure it'll be a hit with all the women I know from twitter! :>
Begone thotticus.

I mean Breath of the Wild was the first game I ever enjoyed playing sooooo.......
Great, 1 customer already! Who says men don't know what women want?

I feel like marketers in video games are trying today the same trick that Bernays managed with cigarettes; tie a product to women's empowerment and watch the feminists buy it up like lemmings. The problem is that video games are a far more involved hobby than cigarettes, non-smokers didn't spend decades calling smokers geeks and nerds prior to trying to get women to buy it, and the new women cigarette smokers didn't deride all the men smokers as being virginal incels and demand that cigarette manufacturers stop making cigarettes aimed at men.

I'd buy it.

Naturally not every woman is going to have the same interests, I'm just making a point.

Wait, nevermind. Scrap everything.

Dosen't this ruling imply that children cannot consent to it and thus there logically can't be a private option for it either? For that matter if it's legally ruled that x is not acceptable to be done wouldn't it imply that taking other routes to do the thing now deemed legally unacceptable would be abuse of the child. Even more so if you go elsewhere just to skirt the law and do that thing?

Just what is she actually raising money for?
