Yeah, I've heard of snacks made of bugs getting produced, but some conspiracies exist that the NWO or whoever plans to force people to eat bugs when they don't want to and ban production of meat for anyone who isn't part of the deep state or Hollywood.

I think this is what the pod thing is about, though. Not regular apartments, but ones built out of shipping containers because apartments and homes are now too expensive for most people:

NGL, the fact that rent is now so expensive in some places that living in a shipping container is the best people can hope for anymore is very dystopian to me, but the conspiracy theorists think it's some sort of liberal plot to ease people into accepting this before they force everyone to live in pods as prisoners of the state.

That specifically describes a shared living space only really seen in absolute shithole cities like San Francisco where people literally work full time jobs making six figures and yet are effectively homeless. I also don't see bug-eating really catching on much.

I've always found the cult of personality surrounding Trump fascinating. On the one hand, you've got the MAGAtards who see him as the God Emperor whose gonna bring America back to the 'good old days' while rescuing children from the basement of your local Dominos. On the other side, you've got SJWs who think Tangerine Hitler is recreating the third reich. I, personally, don't think that he's done anything worse than your garden variety Republican. The kind of person who starts the "he's a (insert -ism)" spiel most likely thinks that of anyone with a R next to their name anyways. He's a tactless, twitter obsessed, boomer Republican. Honestly, what makes him uniquely terrible?

The fact he's currently trying to actively subvert the democratic process in a way that's literally unprecedented in the history of the United States. Everything beforehand was just a slightly accelerated version of business-as-usual Republicanism with the mask taken off, but you really can't ignore the past month and a half.

Oh, I don't think he has- and probably never had- a chance of being successful. But it's not for lack of trying, and his bullshit's opened a Pandora's Box in our electoral system that needs to get shut ASAP. His soft coup was retarded and failed, but now someone with more than half a brain can learn from his mistakes.
