It's the weird doublethink dichotomy of communal belongings, where no one is allowed to stop you from using it the way how you see fit but on the other hand, some nebulous, vague entity called "the public" is responsible of maintenance work and clean-up.
Basically, whenever they want to do something to change the building (ie: spray the walls, remove a door or fuck up furniture), no one can tell them no, cause it belongs to everybody, but when the windows are broken, everything is broken, damaged or stolen, then it's everybody (else)'s job to make it nice and clean again.
It's an entirely egotisitcal world view, where a person takes all the privileges for themselves, but pawns off all accountability and responsibility on the community. Really, when you look at it like this, a lot of far left behaviour just clicks into place. Or, to sum it up in short: "Fuck you dad, pay for my gender studies degree and make my feel comfortable, but never tell me what to do!"

These shit-covered needle-littered trash heap hellholes that any of these commie hives instantly turn into are a microcosm more or less proving everything critics of communism say about it, except it takes place in literally hours and days rather than years. In a way it's a fascinating social experiment, although I don't ever expect to see a truthful examination of it in the mass media or academia.

Think about the moratorium on rent right now, and how many people are taking advantage in this exact way. Live rent free for almost a year, fuck the place up, move on to the next one, and there won't be any repercussions. Its going to be absolute mayhem if the federal government allows the moratorium to expire because of their squabbling over budget today.

It's like asking a swarm of locusts whether they find it alarming that they eat up all plants in any given region, they'll just fly to the next and destroy that place, too. Why should they worry? They just relocate whenever they have had their fill.
You can tell that squatters have neither a financial, nor moral or social investment in the places that they occupy. And these people have the gall to talk to others about sustainability, social responsibility and how we borrow the world from our children. It sickens me to the core.
To a squatter, no place has any value whatsoever, so they treat it as worthless and replaceable... cause to them, it is. If the building has been fucked up beyond use, they'll just pile up in the next until that is ruined, too. And I am willing to bet dollars to donuts, if they manage to ruin every building available to them, they will turn around and demand, that society at large furnishes them with another place, feeling fully entitled to do so, cause society owes them a place to fuck up for some fucking reason.
I've never seen a building occupied by squatters that hadn't been rundown to a deplorable state, ffs I've seen documentaries about homeless people living in bridges or drainage tunnels in Las Vegas and these people kept their places reasonably clean and organized. Meanwhile, some chucklefuck middleclass wannabe-rebel can't spent a night in an empty building without smashing a few windows and spraying atrocious fridge-art on every fucking wall.
