I think the funny part for me is that, he's at the point he saw no other direction to take in life, other then to be dumb edgy memelord who even Null viewed as depraved, and I'm sure Null has seen his share of fucked up shit. If you don't see any other option to find a means to improve your boring life, you aren't actually trying, especially if it means you're drawing cheese pizza and claiming it to just be "edgy work".

He's had a predilection for drawing loli and gore since adolescence. It was the gore which got him booted out of art school, I believe. And yeah, society would be better served with him either in prison or a factory, or both.

Where'd you get the idea it was gore? He made a vague comment about how it's illegal to draw certain "images involving children" in Switzerland on a podcast, and I don't know of any other statements he's made that specified beyond that. It could be gore but when I think of Shad and "images involving children" that would be illegal, gore isn't the first thing I suspect.

Absolute nutjob losers with no future but the one given to them by better people paying for their degenerate 'skills'. Sad thing is, Shad could've had the respect of many artists and probably make twice as much if he just had stuck to doing frowned-upon taboo fetishes at a fee. I knew a chick who had no qualms with drawing scat, but added 30% to the price because of it and people willingly paid that cause few artists are willing to do scat.

See....the thing is the dude has the respect of many artists. Like the amount of artists that don't respect Shadman is very slim and coincidentally end up being lolcows or being exposed for being just as gross as the stuff he draws or outright worse from what I've seen.

I mean the guy seems to be doing pretty well for himself all things considered. Ultimately, I think he drew edgy shit because he legitimately liked being edgy for its own sake, and he's a working professional with a strong internet presence. Can't say the guy came out bad at the end of it.

If you guys ever listen to some of the stuff he's in like some Sleepycast episodes, he constantly tries to shittily psychoanalyze people and sounds like a kid on Reddit with a Guy Fawkes mask. As Shad himself would attempt to do, in my psychoanalysis, he seems like someone with a complex. He'll shoot down Oney's jokes and explain some psychology horseshit no one cares about while they're talking about Newgrounds animations or something. Kind of superiority-complex-y.

He probably has a separate work-safe portfolio under a different name.

That probably would explain why there's not that much verifiable information about Shad IRL compared to a lot of other artcows and why he goes above and beyond to push an over-the-top edgelord persona.

If you ever look at some of the shit he does outside of the NSFW tier things he's actually pretty decent? His background work alone is pretty good looking. I know Oney used Shad a lot for backgrounds back in the Sleepycabin era.
