TotalBiscuit wanted Genna to keep using his channel, along with joining the Co-Optional Podcast to keep her taken care of financially after he passed away. Personally, I don't see a problem with this, as he wanted to keep taking care of her after his death.

That's perhaps the dumbest thing Fat James could have latched onto seeing how cyberpunk and punk have almost nothing to do with each other. I mean why not throw his lot in with a bunch of nihilist glue sniffing anarchists. Sterling himself has more connection to punk than cyberpunk does because he also used to be unafraid to flirt with Nazi imagery

I think Jim believes he should be making at least 1 mil per Jimquisition. If you look at his most popular videos there actually are plenty of them that passed the 1 mil mark or at least hovered close below. Nowadays he's lucky if his video makes it to 400k views, sometimes he only makes about 100k.

I'd like to imagine that Jim is just fuming over the fact that there are Youtube video game commentators that always beat him to the lastest gaming outrage because they upload daily and don't put as much "effort" into their weekly videos. They also tend to have as many views per video and when you consider that they upload more frequently than Jim their channels are growing much better than his.

It's really simple why his views are down. He's gone meta. He no longer talks about video games, he talks about talking about video games and about making video games. If people gave a shit about that, gamergate would still be a real thing

Jim's format is really stale, his videos always seems to come down one or more of these five topics mixed with 80's cartoon/toy nostalgia:
TRIPLE A INDUSTRY, CORPORATION BAD, SEX ABUSE ALLEGATION, OVERTIME CRUNCH, ENTITED GAMERS.

I always just played games for fun.

If we all start chimping out about every negative aspect of the things we enjoy you're just going to look like fucking chimps. Jim used to do decent videos that actually explored some of the negative aspects of the industry, but now all he does is scream into the wind as he becomes less and less relevant because no one can take a chimp seriously.

Maybe if he still had to work for his views and income he wouldn't have gone so off the rails, but his patreon piggies keep paying up.
