Gotta admit he was super right on Cyberpunk, but I really hate how he keeps injecting the trans issue. Remove the dick from the poster and we would be hearing squat, but of course fetichizing women is okay on their book. And he fails to see that in the setting, it makes perfect sense, its a very hedonistic world where corporations are exploiting peoples desire, so, its satire, but gotta get mad anyways without thinking about it for a second. If anything, the game pushes far into troon territory, you can have "lesbian" sex with a dick.

As others said, he's tried and failed. I think part of the reason he hates games now is because his delusions of being someone important in the industry were dashed when Valve invited him to give opinions on how to run Steam, then ignored everything he said.

I remember a video where he begged for industry insiders to contact him. He has little clout any more. His allies like Anita and MovieBob have also lost all clout and many of their viewers. He has no real way of fighting back except to complain on YouTube to an ever shrinking audience.

Looking at it that way, he still is fighting, it's just that this is the best he can do.


I still think the whole "unionisation" plan was an effort by the clique to regain the power to play gatekeeper and make union dues. Each attempts exploded in their face for some reason or another. It's a plan that's not going to work any time soon.

Echoing what others have said, but I think his fanbase will slowly taper off, he'll blame the algorithm, AAA suppression, and capital G Gamers.

He complains about low viewership, but he has a subscriber base already. He's not building up for nothing like it would be if anyone else started a YouTube pundit career. It's just his videos are so bad he can't make the jump.

He current content isn't really representive of what he usually does. There was some drama because he mentioned problems with his PS5, and all the Cyberpunk stuff. Usually he does reviews that are worth watching.

Karak seems like a nice dude but he tends to word salad up his reviews a la Yahtzee but doesn't have the writing chops nor the brevity and it all feels a bit exhausting. It still a good suggestion, I just wish he played it straight instead of going back to that gimmick.

No. TB left a huge void in that respect when he died. I don't think I've come across another reviewer who spent the first third of their review analysing the PC graphics options. I still go and view his Arkham Knight and Assassin's Creed Unity videos every now and again to have a little chuckle.

What the fuck does he care what his views are, he doesn't monetize his channel if I remember right, or at least doesn't monetize the Jimquisition specifically because it's core patreon content.

His paypigs probably watch everything he outputs anyway, I'd understand this logic if he said "My patreon dropped by a grand when I tried something different"

He really does just hate gaming, Null is 100% right.

I guess in Jim logic, less views = less people to subscribe and become new paypigs? Add him to the pile alongside DSP and Wings of people who turned their hobby into a job and now hate every second of it.

I don’t think it’s even worth betting on. Anyone that read the article can see the BBC outright stating they do not endorse any view, but are simply judging the effectiveness of her writing.

Jim is spinning off into irrelevance and will latch into ANY bandwagon now as long as it gets him some follows from fellow troons.

To be fair, he left her in a lot of debt because he refused to move out of the house they already couldn't afford to "help his cancer", on top of ass cancer bills and titstreaming does seem like easy money

I managed to escape my first violent marriage with some difficulty...the scars left by violence and sexual assault don’t disappear - JK
This whole thing seems like a fight as too who is the bigger victim rather than anything true or objective.

Killing Eve is literally "reddit: the tv show". Had to watch a few episodes with my dad and his gf and could barely stand it.

I've wanted the BBC defunded for years but lol having to pay for this shit is suddenly not ok when it very vaguely endorses something that could be potentially mildly critical of certain transgender issues.

What a journalist (and I use that term about as loosely as it typically is nowadays) should strive to do is provide an insightful report of what's happening by using their own personal experiences and research. Jim has never done this, even in his "heyday" with the whole digital homicide debacle his videos never amounted to more than a platform for which to repeatedly say "lol look how bad this is point and laugh" without having to do any legwork whatsoever.

This is especially true now where he doesn't even have his own personal relationship to the content and instead just parrots the latest Jason Schreier tweet threads and top reddit posts with his own shitty catchphrases thrown into the mix to make it sound like a vaguely original opinion for the subscribers. Even though the subscribers at this point are obviously just there to hear him reaffirm what they already think in order to feel good about their opinions.

He doesn't even talk about, let alone dig into, his reporting niche anymore: asset flipping and shovelware, which he should be able to make something substantive out of considering the state of the switch e-shop and steam continuing to exist

Tbf I think Jim has always maintained, at least since his Dtoid days, that he's not a "games journalist" but a reviewer and then a commentator. But I always thought that was a preemptive defence to deflect any criticism away from his lack of originality.

That said, I always thought his written games reviews were fairly thoughtful up until he started to get in with the trannies.
