Sign the paper, then do as you please. Not their business at all. Fuck them.

Was walking this morning, doing the Monday five miles. Don't see that much difference in traffic on the freeway. Have noticed some thin shelves at the commissary, but that could also be due to the holidays.

Cuomo the Clown:

View attachment 1802460

Added: Fuck you, you lousy cunt. Vaccinate the law-abiding before the criminals. Useless skanky ho, she is.

Added some more: Maybe it's because FOUR TIMES MORE Americans die of heart disease/cancer than have died of the ChiCom Flu. And the vast majority of those who have died of the ChiCom Flu have had at least two co-morbidities. Just saying, bitches.

Added still more:

I simply don't believe this shit. I believe they are bullshitting us.

One Reason article.

Ya think? Ya think? Ya fucking think, you fucking idiots? Jesus!

If they ask me what I did over break I'm going to tell them I participated in an orgy at leper colony. No condom.

Meanwhile in Australia,

Sydney residents urged to cancel holiday bookings as Queensland reintroduces hard border with NSW

"Queensland on Monday shut its borders to anyone from Greater Sydney until at least 8 January after a coronavirus outbreak in the city's northern beaches.

So far 83 people have been infected and the NSW government has introduced restrictions to stop the virus from spreading more widely across the city.

Outgoing federal Tourism Minister Simon Birmingham says one in 13 Australians rely on the tourism and hospitality sectors for work.'
So, there was a brief period of about 18 days where all the state borders had reopened with each other and now they're shutting them down to people from Sydney right before Christmas because fuck you, you can't enjoy any holidays. Currently it's only for just the Sydney metro area but I just know they're gonna extend it to the whole of NSW and when they do I'm gonna be fucking livid.

I'm moving to Brisbane in mid January for work and because I've had enough of Melbourne and signed the lease of the new place a fucking day before they closed all this shit down again. This shouldn't be an issue because I'm in Victoria and am allowed to go to Queensland but the problem is that I've got to drive there because I need to bring my car and belongings with me and the only real way to get from Vic to QLD is by going through NSW, If they close off the whole state (which they will) the route I'll have to take will look like this and take six days of non-stop driving instead of a day and a half.

lolwut

I did a ctrl+f search for the terms "statue" and "monument" in the actual 5600 page document and nothing showed up but I could just be missing it (and I wouldn't be shocked at all).

You may just not have waited long enough for your search to complete the 5600 page document. You want page 2,803:

DIVISION T—SMITHSONIAN
AMERICAN WOMEN’S HISTORY MUSEUM ACT AND NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN LATINO
TITLE I—SMITHSONIAN AMERICAN WOMEN’S HISTORY MUSEUM ACT

"9 statues out of 91 in the United States Capitol's National Satuary Hall depict women... blah blah... There exists no national museum in the United States that is devoted to the documentation of women's contributions throughout the Nation's history... blah blah more paragraphs... ah - here we are! - represent a diverse range of viewpoints and more accurately depict the history of the United States and... nope, still going... "There is established within the Smithsonian Institution a comprehensive womens' history museum" So yep - it's in there.

Then it goes on about the requirement to set up a body for this purpose and give them power to make budget recommendations. So basically pushing their agenda becomes law.

EDIT: Oh, it goes on! I just noticed that this created body shall have power to dispose of existing artifacts so long as it raises funds for their own exhibits. So if you've ever wanted to visit the Smithsonian I'd visit it now, before everything is replaced by the paintings of Frida Kahlula or whatever her name is.

In case you missed it, Calgary Police made a ridiculous arrest at an outdoor skating rink recently.

They released this BS yesterday, the video is lengthy and includes a Q&A session:

The last several weeks have placed a tremendous amount of strain on our community. The same is true of our police officers. Like everyone else, we feel it in our personal lives, but also professionally as they do their part in the fight against COVID-19. Our duty to enforce public health restrictions has thrown us into the middle of a highly-polarized issue where each side has strong, fundamentally-opposing views. Tensions reached a new high this past weekend.

No police officer wants to be the person stopping others from enjoying normal activities, and we hate telling people that they can’t gather with loved ones as much as they hate hearing it. All of us can relate to the frustrations and impacts these restrictions have because we too have family members out of work, children with nowhere to go, and loved ones we can’t see. We are dealing with the same emotions and stress as everyone else.

However, we also understand the risks the virus poses to those with health complications. We also know the struggles our partners in healthcare are facing as hospitals fill up. We understand that our healthcare system is stretched to the max and we worry that if nothing is done, there may not be a hospital bed for a loved one when they need it. The doctors and nurses are giving up so much to save the people we love, and we all need to do our part to help them at this critical time in this fight against COVID-19.

Some members of the community believe public health restrictions should be aggressively enforced. Others would prefer to see no enforcement whatsoever. It is against this backdrop that we are trying to find the right balance between enforcement and compassion. Last week police received nearly 500 calls involving alleged violations of the health restrictions. Officers went to public spaces, private homes, and businesses to address the calls. Our approach has been to strive for voluntary compliance and we have found that the vast majority of Calgarians are understanding when they are informed of the restrictions. That is why our officers have issued fewer than 100 tickets under the public health orders since this began in March.

Unfortunately, there are people who refuse to do their part, even after the law has been explained to them. We have tried to work with many of these individuals, but we do not live in a society where a person can pick and choose which laws they follow. If a person breaks the law, they should no longer be surprised if they are issued a ticket or charged under the existing laws and legislation created by the government for us to enforce.

Citizens have a right to challenge laws they perceive to be unjust. The place for this to happen is in the courts and legislatures, not when you are dealing with a police officer. Many laws would become unenforceable if people were free to simply walk away from officers without identifying themselves. It is a legal requirement to provide your identification when being issued a summons. Failure to do so could lead to a more serious criminal charge of obstruction.

This past weekend we witnessed the stress of COVID create unnecessary conflicts between officers and some citizens. It is important in this moment that we remain focused on the bigger picture. These measures are temporary, but people’s lives are not.

We must remember we are all part of this community, we are all doing our best to manage these extraordinary circumstances, and we can beat COVID-19 if we work together.

55 hour drive?? That is going to be hell. Here I am fretting over a 10 hour drive time for a move - and I thought I had it bad!

So interesting that Congress snuck into its behemoth COVID/omnibus bill a declaration of the 2020 Belarus presidential election as "fraudulent" on eerily similar grounds as the current US president is declaring the 2020 US presidential election to have been fraudulent

This is fucking wild. Guys, I said it before and I'll say it again you need to disperse. It's impossible to control a less urbanised population in this way. Take a pay-cut and move to a town with 25,000-50,000 people. I know it's easy for me to say, being from Atlantic Canada, but JFC. You guys are living under a boot for Christmas and getting arrested for going to skate parks, and I'm taking my kids to the playground and going to my parents' for Christmas dinner. Leave Calgary and go to fucking Lloydminster or Medicine Hat or some shit.

The women cops in that video were fucking with the guy with very obvious enthusiasm and maximum belligerence. One of them whipped out a taser at the beginning of the video with absolutely no aggression on the arrestee's part. The last thing one would think after watching that encounter is "it sure looks like the police officers are only reluctantly enforcing these COVID laws." It's really funny to see how the public perception of policing differs when it's Officer Friendly jacking up some people for the crime of being outside vs. ventilating a black gangbanger pointing a gun at them. Clownworld, man.

RIP LA kids.

A resounding success for all I'd say, especially considering:

What an absolute shitshow.

Edit:

Teacher friend of mine says that US schools are over-whelmingly Left Wing environments and most of the teachers she know basically believe everything the media and government tell them about Covid. And consequently are genuinely under the impression they will die if exposed to it and forced to go to school.

I don't know what can be done about school age children (encourage home schooling?) but if I were a university student who had taken out a loan for my education I'd be looking at getting organized with other students to sue for my money back.

Or universities and schools forcing students to use bullshit proctoring services with no alternatives (archive link); most institutions have purported “student unions,” which are often used as an excuse to raise fees for student services. If these bodies actually represented students, in theory they could organize tuition holds and no-grade exams until these institutions negotiate with the students that are fucking paying their bills. Never mind that most public and non-profit institutions already receive taxpayer funding through their state taxes.

Kinda twist my beans that when the United States’ secondary education problems are discussed during executive elections, the only talking points are loan-forgiveness and subsidizing tuition. What about all this other fuckery that’s more relevant and actually can be addressed?

Horse racing (and by extension, betting) is still a multibillion dollar international industry that families currently solely rely on and have done so for generations. It relates to agriculture, and it fits into the bigger picture of the agriscience industries at large, which are also multibillion dollar international industries. It has been deeply affected by the coof just like anything else (especially the tracks in Commiefornia, one of which was made to close while an *atrium* across the street didn't have to) and with this particular industry, its not just humans affected by it. Allotting funding for racing is one of like 2 things from this demon bill I don't dislike and it makes a shit ton more sense than giving Pakistan money for ladybois.

I could go on about this, as it is close to me and I've followed it, but I won't unless someone is interested.
>Haven't left my house in months
>holed up by myself for the past nine months
>we can wear masks and socialize by Zoom for 6 more months
>Haven't seen family or friend's since February/March

these people cant be human, they cant possibly be rational enough to come to the conclusion people should stay in quarantine forever

im not a misanthrope by any stretch of the imagination, but i cannot visualize as to why there are people that think like this at all

there has to be a point where these people realize that the government and media is only making things worse for them
I have gone an entire year without seeing 1 cousin, and have seen her brother once. Their mother is the same. She saw the daughter for the first time in a year last weekend to exchange gifts because they're too afraid for Christmas.

They're approximately 30. Our shared 85 year old grandmother still continues to go out every day.

Based Grandma. It honestly seems like people are losing touch with family, friends, and what it means to even be human. People are becoming so atomized.
Not necessarily based; I would actually prefer it if she did stay in more, if only because she doesn't need to be driving. She is mostly doing this due to early onset dementia (she won't listen, her way or the high way).

It is funny of course. The one person most vulnerable in my family for the most part cares the least but the youths are drinking the koolaid.

As expected from the only lefties in the family.
