Jim has commitment issues across the board. This isn’t a psychological issue, but by choice. He is, by design, someone who has garnered their eFame by going “against the grain” to popular opinion. You know those kids who would say something sucks because it sells a lot/is popular, yeah, Jim is that sort of person. Harken back to the days, not even ten years ago, where he was known for spouting off misogynistic jargon for shock value. I do love the bit about porn and murdering all women if it should be made illegal. He cannot commit to his “wife” who is basically flubber and allows her to get railed in his own home. He couldn’t commit to edgy video game commentary because it had become too blasé for him.
Recall just a couple of years back where he acknowledged his transgendered colleagues but had a sense of apprehension toward them. This is the Jim Special. He does or believes one thing, sticks with it for a week, and does the complete opposite for attention.
Let me explain to you how this saga goes down. Jim is popping the titty skittles, garnering immense popularity upon his current peers for being brave and whatnot. When the well eventually dries, and when the addition of HRT begins to conflate his already sordid medical history, he’s going to go on a long tirade about the dangers of taking HRT, and pander to the complete opposite crowd. Note that his “coming to be” was in his standard uncouth video format with very little sincerity.
The reason Jim likes wrestling so much is that it’s choreographed, but still carries very real consequences. The caveat, however, is that Jim loves the drama as long as he isn’t the center of it. His wrestling persona is that of a gay fat Paul Bearer (RIP) slash Goldust that flops around and screeches in a controlled environment. Once physicality entered the picture, he immediately checked out. When the reality of HRT impacting his already morbidly corpulent finally strikes, he will find means to completely write it off like anything else in his life. The only difference here being that this will plague him for the rest of his life; commitment, if you will.
