I think you’re on to something there. One of the biggest pushes I can remember The gay movement was the concept that they just wanted to live Normal, happy lives. Sure enough, every gay person I know is a spunky teen or coupled off with or without kids. All very suburban and happy. And they had to fight for that.

Currently, there’s nothing keeping a trans person from living a normal happy life, seriously no one is gonna call out people to their faces, but many of these folks don’t seem to want that comfort at all. They want to be exhibitions.
