Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I can sense some getting wet and hard over these 2 super strains, of covid, that are in the UK. I fully expect they will combine in a very timely fashion so not to miss the end of 2020 and this will be pushed as covid20. They will have a go and all it takes is for the dodgy as fuck WHO to acknowledge it and we are done for '21.

Lets face it; Covid19 is just so last year and needs spicing up with totally real multi colour spikes and crowns and shit in media graphics. I bet there are people sitting around a table, right now, working on the optics and imagery and getting worried they used the scary colours too early.

I will snap next year so am going to have a good christmas in whatever the fuck tier i am in first.

Happy Xmas Kiwis and best wishes for a happy(er) New Year.

eta. upthread there is a mention of amazon. One surface that will never ever be mentioned , in any MSM/government/WHO news, as a surface that covid can survive on, is the boxes used by Amazon to keep the proles in order. Never in the same sentance ever.

I am receiving the Moderna vaccine on Saturday, very excited for 2021 to hopefully see an improvement in my working conditions.

Aren't these people supposed to be running around exhausted cause they have an overflow of patients? Did they catch the nurses on their [usually unpaid] lunch break and made them film 10-30 seconds acting like an idiot so they could go back to their sandwich?

lol

I hear you. Oddly enough, I give Omar the benefit of the doubt on this one.

But I'm completely and utterly in favor of seeing Newsom, Whitmer, and Cuomo all being fucked in the ass by a stallion. That would certainly do us all a lot of good. 👍

Added: The usual daily bullshit from the county I live in. Like I give a fuck.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CARMEL PINE CONE

December 22, 2020, 5:25 p.m.

CHOMP GETS 1,200 DOSES OF MODERNA VACCINE

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula received its first allocation of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman told The Pine Cone.

Monica Sciuto said FedEx delivered 1,400 doses of the Moderna vaccine to the hospital this morning — the same amount Natividad Medical Center and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System were also allocated. Late this afternoon, SVMH said it had also received it's shipment of the Moderna vaccine.

Sciuto said CHOMP uses a tier system to prioritize who will get the vaccine first, though its entire workforce is scheduled to be immunized in the first round of vaccinations.

“The first group in our workforce that has been offered the vaccine includes those who work in patient rooms at highest risk for exposure to Covid-positive patients,” she explained. “This includes employees and providers who perform direct patient care as well as others who must enter those rooms.

The group includes personnel whose work takes them into the ICU and emergency department and the Covid-19 inpatient units. "The types of personnel include doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, phlebotomists, and environmental services staff, among others," Sciuto added.

CHOMP and the other two hospitals last week each received 975 doses of the Pfizer version and began immunizing staff shortly thereafter.

No timetable has been announced for the beginning of vaccination programs for Monterey County first responders, or in senior homes, hotspots or among other vulnerable populations.

CASE RATES ALL OVER THE PLACE, BUT ICU NUMBERS HOLDING STEADY

• 3,304 'new' cases one day, zero two days later, then 1,099

Because of what health officials are calling a "backlog" of coronavirus cases in a state data system, the number of "new" cases being reported by the Monterey County health department has swung wildly between extremes over the last 5 days, from a high of 3,304 cases on Friday, to zero on Sunday.

As a result, it is impossible to know whether the surge of infections hitting the county since late October has been getting worse, staying the same, or improving. Likewise, the charts and tables we've been producing since last Spring have become useless — and will be until the county's reporting system stabilizes.

But one thing that's not useless is the state's tabulation of ICU bed availability in the Greater Bay Area region, which is the number used by Gov. Gavin Newsom to justify the shutdown we've been under for a little more than a week.

This morning, the California Department of Public Health said 13.5 percent of ICU beds in the region were unoccupied — which is just about where it's been for the last week. According to the governor's criteria, the percentage has to improve to at least 15 for restaurants to be able to reopen for outdoor dining, along with other types of businesses.

At CHOMP, where the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are being administered to medical staff before being made available to high-risk sectors of the public, there are currently 33 inpatients who are coronavirus-positive, including 12 in the ICU. SVMH said it had 49 inpatients with the virus, and Natividad said it had 62. (Each of these hospitals haveat well over 200 beds. - JS)

Here's a cartoon of Birx, who is apparently retiring after being caught breaking the rules the "little people" are supposed to abide. Twat.

Yup, the bitch is gone. 👍 She can bite my ass. Useless turd.

She was probably on her way out anyway and this was her "excuse" to finally do it. She really didnt leave because she just "felt so bad/exposed". Its merely all for image, to satisfying us dumb motherfuckers that think that she "got what she deserved".

Cant people see that they know that we cant do jack to them? So what they get caught and exposed as hypocrites? The media is obviously on their side and we arent allowed to punish them for it. Being a hypocrite "TECHNICALLY" isnt a crime, you could say she should get punished for breaking her own rules but, hey dummies, THEY MADE THE RULES...they wont be punished by their own rules, the fuck is wrong with you?

We live in an age dystopian writers dreaded with every fiber of their being, where the government ceased to fear repercutions from the public. There will be some sacrificial lambs here and there but overall the higher ups are unreachable by any legal means. We are a generation of cowards raised by another generation of cowards. We are docile and raised to be good but let me tell you a little secret...being good...means you are actually the bitch of the universe. You are raised to be good just so you can be used and abused by the world because thats just how it works, the world NEEDS goodie suckers to step on to get higher in the foodchain, only those that wake up to reality are able to get away from this cycle of feeding the machine of "good little lamb". But they still know that they will always get away with it.

well there you go

This makes me wonder if Bernie wont "conveniently" die of Covid next year just so the Covid Cultists are able to justify the lockdowns for more an entire year because it "killed the president!!!"...ignoring the previous president had it too and came out of it just fine and that Bernie not only is older than Trump but may or may not have shown signs of Dementia.

Its just all too...perfectly setup, isnt it? Makes me wonder if Bernie is even aware that he might not make out of this presidency alive and that he thinks that "the plan" is that he will step down and retire peacefully.

Thats too kind for the maniacs at the left.

Like any of them will admit to ever supporting this when it turns out to be a huge mistake.
You know those old cartoons where whenever a character does something stupid, they turn into a donkey (aka, a jackass) for a few moments? I imagine a lot of people are going to have a moment like that.

well there you go
Well, so much for the Biden administration.

Turning into a national-level fuckup on the scale of the Vietnam War, and just as damaging to society. Do YOU trust the government/judiciary/law enforcement to do the right thing any more? Most likely not. I sure don't. Just like after Vietnam, and I remember that time well.

Now, I thought we were supposed to be all on some major-league house arrest in my part of CA. Really? Traffic on the freeway the same. Just came back from Costco, saw sign saying max number of customers allowed in the store is ---1860. Noticed I was one of only two people outside the store not wearing a mask. Like I give a fuck.

One Reason article, surely no surprise to anyone here.

Added: The God's truth. Shit, make it $3000 per person. We can afford it. Always pay the interest payments, blew as much on two useless fucking Mideast wars, didn't we?

"I'm not sure we know what we're doing,"
Politicians in a nutshell

Which is one of the many negative consequences from pretty much all forms of authority pissing their credibility away this year. Once it's gone, it takes a very long time to earn back. We're in for a world of hurt if something more serious than COVID ever gets loose. A large percentage of people aren't going to follow any quarantine measures due to all the bad blood from 2020's bullshit.
At a time when we needed swift, decisive, and well thought out action, the powers that be gave their constituents none of that. The conflicting information that has run rampant over the past 9 months is frustrating and leaves some normies shrugging as they try to comply with confusing and contradictory directives while others simply say, "IDGAF," and do whatever they please because it's the path of least resistance. The credibility hit has definitely been akin to The Boy Who Cried Wolf in that many people will now be hesitant to follow instructions the next time something like this happens even if it becomes more of a matter of life or death.

As a student in law (or as I like to call it "lawl" because the legal system is a fucking circus) I can confirm that. Law and legal cases ultimately falls down on which lawyer is able to loophole and bullshit the system first and better. You MAY have the legal high ground but if your foe has the better lawyer, chances are, the prick can just pull off the legal equivalent of a "No u" argument that doesnt make sense outside of the courts but since it does there, its the only argument that matters and they win instantly.
This sounds consistent with what I've observed and heard from the attorneys I've interacted with. Over time, judges and lawyers get to know each other rather familiarly. So, after the requisite, "Hey Joe, hey Pete, hey Pat," before a court case begins, the ultimate decision usually boils down to which side's lawyer has the better combination of prestige, social status, and reputation - facts of the case be damned.

However, after reading some of the responses on this thread in the last, few days, I'm almost inclined to agree with others here and believe that if the pandemic were actually serious then humans would take precautions on their own without being told.
At the start of June when my state slowly allowed certain outdoor activities and didn't yet require masks, some people took advantage without being unnecessarily risky about it. At an event I attended that first weekend, the only COVID-related announcements were that people were expected to socially distance and that social distancing requirements would result in the last part of the event being altered to accommodate that. People actually complied without complaint, reminders, or bullying; and, individual decisions about mask wearing were respected without incident. I'd like to believe that people were willing to act on their own because nobody was being a dick about enforcing the rules. Perhaps more people would follow the restrictions on a larger scale if they were presented with more logic and less of a confrontational "Because I/the science said so!" attitude we've seen from various leaders. (Yes, I know that's :optimistic: .)

Just what we needed, more dancing idiots.
On one hand, there are countless health care professionals that do their work, thankless as it can be at times, without seeking attention or the spotlight. They're the ones that act more like heroes IMO. On the other, we have those who say "We're so overworked we deserve hero pay" and subsequently post these TikTok-esque videos. It's one thing to seek out a way to blow off steam after a long/frustrating day at work. However, something like that should be done away from the workplace. The videos posted from inside these medical facilities don't lend any credibility to their argument that they're too overworked, and -- in the case of the medical field -- it could be a potential privacy/HIPAA violation if the cameras clearly captured any sort of personally-identifying information about patients or their faces.

Did you mean Biden and not Bernie? :drink:

I would absolutely love to see where Nurses/Nursing fall on the trustworthiness scale in the public mind after this. Once upon a time I was (somewhat) familiar with the profession and they constantly brought up how high up on the "trustworthy professions" nurses were in public opinion polls, and how you needed to live up to that expectation and professionalism in carrying out your duties.

There will be consequences from these condescending jerkoffs scolding everyone for not wearing masks and killing grandma, then doing a fucking dance for Tik Tok while they're allegedly inundated with dying grannies.
At least nurses have a long way to fall before they're considered as untrustworthy as journalists.

It's always been that way. Those who REALLY get ahead in life are the ones who lie, cheat, and steal but don't get caught. Or if they do get caught, are powerful enough to avoid any repercussions.

The difference is that in this day and age "being good" and morality is rewarded less than ever. You work your way up from working 80 hours a week as a janitor, never getting in trouble with the law, and opening your own business? Too bad, a drug addict with a massive rap sheet just robbed it and got shot by the cops outside after he tried to knife them, and now an angry mob is rioting in his name for "justice" and your store just got burnt down while the addict is canonized as a saint, buried in a gold coffin with a public funeral, and his family gets millions. Hypocrisy is also openly praised and the idea of "double standards" simply doesn't exist anymore. It isn't just that it's covered up by the media, it's openly pointed out and they simply don't care or literal argue "it's different when we do it!" That's why there's no point "taking the high ground" with these people.

Since science, morality, and truth itself are flexible depending on the circumstance, there's no incentive to take part in society other than to maximize resources available to you.

I always wondered why he retired.

I mean he retired at 52. That's crazy young. Why would you step back from that empire so early.

And I realized he did it because he went as far as he could at Microsoft with his greed for power. Having become the world's richest man it wasn't enough. So he started the Foundation to pursue other ways of achieving his goals. Dude is an absolute monster of a person. History will not look kindly upon him.

Uh, why would you not retire as soon as you can if you’re one of the richest people in the world? Why keep working?

I went to my local large grocery store wednesday morning. It was payday and I planned on stocking up my freezer as I do every 6-8 weeks or so.

There was fuck all to be had in terms of frozen stuff. Just basic veg, potato based stuff and for a perverse reason, lots of tendies. It was bizarre. And they were out of toilet roll, a fucking gain, and some cunt was trying to strip the shelves of tampons.

I think it's a combination of Brexit and omg guise muh mooouuyoootaaaayysssshhuunn. I ended up buying fresh stuff and batch cooking to fuck then freezing, and stocking up on booze.

Interestingly, channel four did a deep fake version of the queens speech this evening and people are losing their fucking minds over it. Its like they finally get it can be done.

Oh, and I had a lovely chat with a fella in the meat aisle in the supermarket about how to cook pork tenderloin. He was wearing a mask, I wasnt, but he was really lovely and the social interaction was wonderful.

What got to me was just how much I appreciated it afterwards. To be at such a point where to spend five minutes talking to a person who is friendly and kind makes you happy? Fuck.

I hope all of you have a lovely Christmas if you can. If anyone is struggling with it all and things are getting on top of you please just stop and take a breath, get some fresh air, even just by a window if you can.

Lol, either this is some meta shit I don’t understand or this guy has no idea who won the election.

So does anyone still believe the coof is dangerous, or is the genral consus here it is just a mass hysteria event for the Great Reset/Lizards/Jews etc?
Coof is like any other illness before it. Diseases have always been a thing. Participate in good hygiene and you should be fine. I do think that governments are taking advantage of the situation and "not letting a good crisis go to waste" to paraphrase.

One lady around here bitterly said "we'll die with our masks on" in response to "when will the New Normal end?" - I really hope coronapanic doesn't drag on for years. But seeing as how the show is run by power-hungry assholes, it easily could.

(and like I said 2020 has made me somewhat of a misanthrope)
The brilliant part is because they out sourced the propaganda to diffused (from the outside) sources and built up the wall of noise without any holes the normalfag just rolls with it. You know when the oldest cliché in the book is when a crisis is being used to grab powers.

Also how much I hate this corporate toned "muh caring" fake emotionality. Especially sinister when you know the fake smile hides a whole lot of hard power that will be used against you.

Ultimately if anybody had doubts that people are powerless and voting doesn't do anything we now have clear proof. lol I lost all my hope in everything. Oh and things will only. get worse.

Just see how many freedoms were. taken away to fight "terrorism" and those. things only escelated more and more. Now we have this disease. and climate change for immortal, invisible. and unfalsifiable problems only even experts can see. Both. have legit bases, but it is just. being used to program people. Like how many products and services say. they just love the planet or climate. How about humans or delivering a good product?

@benutz I would say it is pointless to blame nurses and doctors when we could blame both the overtly domesticated population who outsourced common sence to xperts and we have an elite who frankly hates us.
