This is a really good criticism. I like Styx, but a lot of these people still think their opinions aren’t common or able to be expressed when they have devout followings all over. I understand we all have to deal with left wing spergs more often than we might’ve used to, there’s a fight for that for those people, but nothing is changing, politics will always be around, people are getting bored with the criticisms, as well as the endless outrage and sadly there’s not more beyond that. What do you do? You either double down or move on.

Its not that what he is doing is super wrong but its basic shit any bachelor could do better on average. He is making the mistakes I would have made 10 years ago and the guy is older then me.

Styx jumped the shark when he married Melania and ran off to Czechoslovakia.

That's when he stopped putting out the Pagan content, and stopped eating the freshly unboxed military rations. It's when he stopped talking about his shroom trips, and showing us the progress of his glorious chamomile garden.

Now it's all just the same stale alt-Fox political rant recycled ad nauseam...and this failed cooking nonsense.

The woman probably didn't help but I think its more of a person putting all their eggs in one basket, he is one of the biggest Trump fans I ever seen and he psychologically broke when he found out Trump lost and the gravy train he had going was coming to an end since his political takes were very dependent on the Trump presidency it was his brand of politics. Prior to Trump he was one of those run of the mill atheist/anti religious guys who posted videos about Emo shit like Charles Manson and the drappings of what is best described as pre Qanon shit and illuminati speculation popular back in the day videos he was lucky to get 5k views on. Then when Trump happened his channel caught on to the momentum of MAGA culture and grew steadily. Now that Trump is gone his channel will most likely shrink into obscurity since most people will have moved on to the next big movement.

I fucking hate this "I'm shadowbanned waaaah!" claim. Quarterpounder doesn't like that shitting out seven videos a day (all in the span of thirty minutes) means that the well-known and well-publicized algorithm will throttle people to his channel because it (rightly) assumes it's low-effort content, but he blames it on his "spicy opinions" which are as milquetoast as they come. For shits and giggles I ended up using my account subscribed to Styx, another account NOT subscribed to Styx, an account belonging to my mother who has never watched his stuff and not on my wireless network, and my tablet that has never logged in to YouTube. You know what I found in all of that?

I found him without a problem, and all his recent videos showed up in searches.

Shadowbanning has always been unproven by right wingers because it’s an easy claim to make but hard to actually prove.

I think the bad cooking could actually have some comedy potential. There's just something so boring and dull about it, though-- like his quirky autistic heart just isn't in it anymore.

If your argument is just "they can't prove it" when proving algorithmic disfavor is nearly impossible you're just being dense. We do know these tech monopolies dislike right wing content and are very keen to sweep it under incendiary labels to justify blackballing it. And sometimes it's deserved but it's often not and it's very one-sided.

Honestly I do not think Youtube cares for the most part outside of crazy nuts that are legit talking about false information. It is not twitter. Youtube is much more legit when it comes to politics, Conservative videos flood my inbox and recommended feed because they recognize what I watch. I am subbed to styx and his vids always show up even his cooking or MRE shit. What are you talking about?

I doubt you can prove or disprove it at all. Google would just claim that the algorithm had been tailoring Styx' content to Viewer A, but not to Viewer B, because B doesn't watch the channel regularly, etc.
