Like others said, it's really unsettling to interact with people wearing muzzles. By covering all but the eyes - like Muslim women are made to - you're missing out on a lot of the facial expression. People don't get to see smiles much anymore, which really fits this dystopia - and could be bad for mental health.
The day these damn muzzle mandates expire - if it ever comes - will be a big step forward to getting rid of this "new normal".

Nope, that's the newest script, despite the fact that all of those other things he's listed have been around for much, much, much longer and their effects are more known than a novel months old vaccine.

I looked up muzzle mandates ending, and of course top results are from American news media saying that even with a vaccine, they'll "still be needed" - along with other insanity of the New Normal like "social distancing". In other words, "experts say" things "won't go back to normal" are top results. Again, can you imagine this shitshow over the regular flu? That's how crazy this is.

That's all it is? Have you missed the posts in the last month where various public officials were caught breaking the lockdown rules they impose and encourage others to follow? All the way up to Dr. Birx? There plenty of other info being posted to the thread. There's a ton of vaccine stuff being posted because the vaccine was first distributed this week, so of course people are going to be debating this current development. If you don't want to read pro/antivax comments, scroll past them because there is still relevant info being posted in the thread.

Does this logic mean anyone who said "vaccines are safe as long as they have passed all of our current testing standards" in 2019 is now an anti-vaxxer?
One of the big communication breakdowns that happens in society is the overuse of certain thought-terminating clichés, especially when legitimate concerns exist. To call someone an anti-vaxxer for suggesting that testing requirements which have been standard and fully acceptable for well over 90% of their lifetime should continue to be met is not going to convince them and only going to strengthen resolve and widen communication gaps. Soon enough those disparaged for wanting the same level of safety that they have always accepted will tune out all the people who call them an anti-vaxxer for their concern and drift into discussion spheres that believe there are valid concerns. From that point they will hear other concerns, such as people worrying about the dangers of groupthink brought on by societal pressures (Ya know, just like how hundreds of scientists and engineers said nothing about space shuttle challenger), and they won't hear any counterpoint to that idea because they've stopped listening to you because you disparaged them with a thought terminating cliché over a legitimate point that has not been countered in any way. That is why when these people hear about the rather lengthy history of times when vaccines have been the cover story for various nefarious activities in the past, there will be no one to offer counterpoints about how or why that wouldn't be the case this time, because they all got blocked because of that time they called someone a flat earther for subscribing to ingomogeneous cosmology as a solution to dark energy.

Is there anything California politicians won't do to virtue signal? Fauci has no link to Lafayette that I can find.
