Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

I still don't understand why Christians simp for Trump.
Evangelicals are the farthest thing from being Christian, despite what they may claim. They think as long as you say you love Jesus, even if you do the exact opposite of what he says (which they do), it makes you a good Christian. Jesus, however, was not a big fan of hypocrites and didn't give a shit what you said, but cared how you acted and what you did

Weird how many of the Jesus lovers dislike people who are poor or sexworkers, when Jesus himself hung out with those people.

Evangies hate catholics.
They used to, until conservative Christianity in general became a uniform cultural signifier for those on the right--remember how they all flocked to The Passion of the Christ, the most Catholic movie in history? There really isn't much to their doctrine anymore beyond hating liberals.

I think there's going to be a standoff between Trump and the majority of the party soon enough.

His interests are not theirs. He's going to run ads in Georgia whining about the election fraud - but how does this help the two Republican senators to win their runoff? It doesn't, but it makes him feel better. How does vetoing the NDAA help anything? It doesn't, but it makes him feel better. If he vetoes the omnibus bill, which seems kind of likely now - you get the point.

And it'll get worse when he's out of office. He'll still have control over the party, and remember that the base likes him more than any given GOP official. There's going to be fights soon. The party may very well split.

I think in a few years someone will give that secret speech. But not before then.
I have a feeling Trump will run again in 2024. If the GOP is smart (lol they aren’t) they’ll immediately back ONE GUY in the primary. They can’t have this 17 man show they had in 2016. The Republicans against Trump need to unify, because half the party will vote Trump, so they need to get the other half backing one guy.
The more I think about it the more I realize it has to be Mitt. He’s the only guy who’s
1.) Well known within the party. Some nobody Governor from Cornville USA won’t cut it this time.
2.) Willing to stand up to Trump. Mitt wasn’t afraid to say Trump doesn’t hold the same values the GOP does on TV. Mitt was the first and only senator fucking ever to vote to impeach a president of his own party.
3.) Needs to be clean compared to Trump. “Binders full of women”, Toys R Us, and the dog thing looked bad, but there’s no Hunter Romney Trump can go after I looked into his 5 sons, they’re very boring Ivy League Mormons.

If the GOP has any hope of not splitting, this is how it has to be. Will the 2024 Republican primaries be the guy who lost to Obama vs the guy who lost to Biden? Probably not but hey, if Null doesn’t nuke the site we can revisit this.

I figured it out. According to the constitution, the electoral votes had until the 23rd to reach the president of congress, that is, the VPOTUS.

These smooth brained, constitutional-know-nothings thought that this meant that the Veep has until then to reject or accept the votes, and he could throw them out.

The Veep has no such authority, nor does he himself have the authority to reject the votes on Jan 6, but don't expect MAGAts to know this, or anything else about the Constitution

I think that’s awfully naive to think the GOP would back Mitt since he lost every presidential race he ran for and most republicans hate him. It doesn’t help Mitt is the most spineless politician out there as while he did stand up to Trump, he literally begged him for a cabinet position after he won in 2016 and only went back to being critical after he was denied it.

Mitt has no principles and will only side with anyone if they give him power so like if Trump gave Mitt anything that was a semblance of power, Mitt would be sucking Trump’s dick more than literally even the dumbest of his supporters.

As for what the GOP would do, who knows what will happen in the next four years.

2024 is going be amazing simply for the slapfights the GOP is going to have with itself. Hell, the worst-case scenario is that the "Lion" party comes into existence just means we can get people to start paying attention to third party candidates and put an end to this two party, legal sportball game we have going on. I think they should go with being the "Patriot Party," it's got alliteration and can't be misspelled to something negative.

But it can be alliterated to something negative.

You know these sorts of memes along with that one of Trump teaching a guy to fish make me understand why people mockingly ask the dumbest of trump supporters if they view Trump as their daddy. This picture practically is treating Trump like a father figure to his supporters.

Reverse Oedipal complex.

Absolutely. They also act like they're in love with the guy, like they're a high school girl and he is their crush and they get so anally agitated when someone says anything bad about him

To be fair, it seems like most Trumptards only just learned about politics, the Constitution, and the workings of the US government in 2016, and they learned it by listening to fucking Trump of all people.

I love this fanfic.

@Not Really Here I wish you weren't here, newfag.

I wish you had read the Constitution as I politely suggested, that way you would have known that voting isn't as protected as the first or second amendments.

Don't know how that got attached, and brought you in here. Anyway, voting is protected under the 15th, 19th, 23rd, 24th and 26th amendments, so kys newfag.

Trump didn't rapidly age in office the way most presidents do, and then it all fucking hit him at once in the last couple of months.

Is the first one supposed to be like Jesus falling while carrying the cross? Isn't that really sacrilegious? I think it's a joke but I'm not sure. Actually isn't the second one equating him to Jesus also with the stuff about how he sacrificed because of his love of humanity or whatever? Fuck man. If somebody told me ten years ago there would be Christfags equating their Savior with Donald Trump of all people I would've just dismissed them as huffing glue.
