Hell, a pinned topic on the frontpage is about Resetera fucking hating themselves. Those scum fucks are just trying to ruin everything. Unironically, the world might be a better place if all of them were just banned from the internet and they had to go outside to attempt to shit things up.

Jim's always talked up Apple. Because muh quality control and moderation. When he found his niche (then burned it to the ground with oversaturation) reporting on Steam flinging the doors wide open Apple store was always his go to when asked what the fuck he wants or was told it would be near impossible to moderate a store that size (missing the fact it was apps on closed hardware not a huge diverse range of games with a massive spectrum of hardware options).

Plus they did the bidding of the mob such as banning games with confederate flags in (even civil war games derp) so that got Jim right on side because nothing says caring company like outright blanket censorship for publicity. Then obviously noting can be nuanced in Jim's world, either company entirely bad or entirely good so now he's taken up Apple as his example of the perfect store he's stuck praising everything they do.

All while ignoring countless anti-consumer practices off the App Store, like kicking off all 32-bit apps that hadn't been updated; pulling games at any time while refusing refunds to customers; breaking countless apps with iOS updates and not offering refunds or any kind of compatibility layers; pushing microtransaction-fueled games left and right, the ridiculously shitty MFi game controller standard that nobody seemed to complain about, the list goes on. It's one of Jim's most obvious ways he's a colossal hypocrite.

The MFi controller standard was a staunch set of standards released in 2012 with iOS 7, that game controllers needed to meet in order to work with iOS. It included retarded shit like mandating every button have pressure sensitivity, despite that not being found on most consoles, and the scant few that had it barely had any games that used it. That made for some excessively expensive, low quality controllers where button actuation was messed up. But only as of recently do iOS devices now allow PS4 controllers, so at least you can use those now. They also don't control your device outside of the game, like on Android.

I honestly shouldn't have looked at the comment section of his post. People praising and celebrating their mental illness like it's a fucking holiday just makes me feel sick.

There's also some "familiar" faces in there I wish I could have kept buried in the back of my mind forever.

For the approximately 10 seconds before their record company dropped them under pressure, every event location on earth banned them from performing, every even remotely "punk" related website banned people for their meer mention and YouTube banned their music from being uploaded. The hilarious part is of course the people who think themselves "punk" are in fact "the man" in this scenario.
