High Guardian Spice - Tumblr: The CalArt Anime

In fairness to Crunchyroll they aren't doing anything different from the Japanese have done to themselves in the business past and present. It is the nature of the beast and how sausage is made, though Crunchyroll screwed up royally by blowing their cash on HGS and doing too many other projects at once. Plus Crunchyroll deviated from past western paid productions where they had paid for one or a few shows or movies at a time so the quality (story, animation, dubbing and etc.) is acceptable at least.

I heard the Prod I.G. LotGH was bad, but just how bad was it?

No, not good
No, it's good. I'm just kind of disappointed we won't see just how much of a trainwreck this will be until whenever. Assuming they even bother releasing it at this rate, which I'm beginning to doubt.

Something tells me even Crunchy was embarassed and decided to just scrap the whole thing and remove all traces of it ever existing.

Studio who initiated the project was some all women hiring group scam. I'm going to guess months from now we're going to hear that there's a company lead investigation into the mess.

My understanding is that stuff can't be accounted for. So for it to be MIA usually means they're not going to touch it because they (Crunchyroll) may have been taken for a ride.

So yeah Sony is going to bury this thing and it looks like they're going to be funding way more series than Crunchyroll ever did.

Raye's going to be the fallguy, ain't she? And she doesn't even know, she hasn't been with Crunchyroll for a year.

New art from her celebrating her friend's show airing, and she's so delusional to believe their shows could have a crossover. She acts like it's Tumblr instead of a business she was let go from.

Has anyone seen Onyx Equinox, or did people forget it was a thing?

That look like a knockoff Korra.

Like how the hell is Viacom not suing,

I stopped following this a while ago, but it seemed like raye went on to making a BL VN starring her own ftm self-insert.
So she really is just a fujoshit who wanted to live out her yaoi fantasies by becoming a man while still being girly because "tee hee I'm an uke".

Gross.

Well, as you all might of heard, Crunchyroll was bought by Sony (via Funimation), and it appears that High Guardian Spice is nowhere to be found:

Considering the fact that Crunchyroll has just revealed its entire winter slate, if it is coming, it will not be for a while.

If there's an equivalent of Nicktoons Network or Boomerang that streaming cartoons go to die, HGS is definitely going to be one of the first residents. It's going right next to whatever the fuck Quibi was.

Women in Animation, said to help women EsPeCiAlLy MiNoRiTy WoMiNz get jobs in the industry when in reality, it's a front to lure "gurl powah" rubes in, make themselves seem important (and taking advantage of the minority guilt tripping), and hog the good jobs for themselves while giving their lower members jackshit.

I still stick to the theory that Raye bamboozled them with the transman shit but if (s)he STILL believes HGS will still premiere someday than the lucky part of "stupid lucky" has run out. Now he's just stupid. 🚬

It's not. It's not at ALL. For one it's about ancient beaners (Aztecs) and not ancient asians and for two there's a LOT of blood and cartoon carnage. The first episode is free to watch (and age-restricted HAH) if you can stand the main boy's voice long enough.

God, nearly 30 and Raye still types like a 13 year old weeb stuck in 2006 - complete with sprinkling in random Japanese words.

Haven’t seen OE, but quick glance at the reviews and premise suggest it’s a pretty middling series inspired by Aztec mythology. Haven’t checked out the trailer yet.

Between this and that last dragon movie Disney is making, I think it says more about how generic Korra’s design was from the start more than anything.

Sounds neat, which is why a crossover with HGS wouldn't make a lick of sense in the slightest. Raye really and truly acts like the animation industry is Tumblr where fanwank thrives and dies, she has no understanding of how it works and why it is crossover episodes in canon are so feared.
