That's because she adds hololive and holoEN tags to her videos, so if you watch Amelia or any other of the girls, you'll get her content in your feed.

i've considered it to at least (try to) provide a good example but I don't particularly want to interact with ENVtubers. the scene feels too cliquey and fake to me.

I've discovered quite a few on Twitch. One guy I really like goes by Kongou, he's a ninja and plays a lot of hard games but I swear the dude never breaks character and is damn good at the character he plays. I would say he speaks in haiku but that isn't quite what he does; he has an odd rhythm to his voice that does sound like he is reciting poetry all the time.

Other ones I'm less inclined to promote but there are a few out there who are decent enough folks streaming regularly to less than 10 people.

Wanting to become a chuuba for attention is like wanting to become an hollywood actor without being interested in acting. If you don't genuinely enjoy streaming to 0 people, don't bother. The virtual avatar part is just a small implementation detail. Most of the amateurs I see don't hold my interest because they're not good at streaming in the first place. I think that the amatuer vtuber scene attracts the kind of troon-like people who think the only thing holding them back is not being a cute girl rather than lack of ability.

I started doing it as a fun side hobby and I just get maybe 3 viewers max per stream, all of whom are my friends, but I have fun doing it. I don't expect to blow up but it really is a numbers game if you treat it like a business. It will always be hobby level for me even if I do have aspirations of becoming a holostar.

That said, if you do stream, having a live2d rig is actually quite nice compared to no facecam at all because it lets the viewer know someone is there behind the screen and not AFK when nothing is happening.

Gone into it before but this is why I think most even do it to begin with, especially trans streamers. The clout chasing troons who never actually produce anything and never will aside, I do have respect for people who just want to go out and have fun.

Yeah, that grind trying to get from 0 to a dozen or so regulars was enough to kill Twitch for me and make me realize that’s not really something I enjoy. But even if starting as a chuuba gets you a slight boost, you still have to have a passion for it. Doing anything just for fame and attention is a slog.

To a degree. You gotta whore out just a little to get anywhere but in most cases it's just talking to people and not being a total ass. I'm on the long road to affiliate as a personal goal but I won't let the fact that nobody wants to watch me struggle through decades old shit stop me. Niche content stop Korone from breaking out an NES or Master System, she just does whatever the fuck and people eat it up.

Every time I watch Polka talk about stuff like that I feel that sort of like “resonance of soul” or whatever you want to call it. Like, not attraction, not quite admiration, not quite rivalry, but that sort of shared world view and understanding.

I don’t watch a ton of her streams because it’s hard to keep up with her sometimes, but of all the Hololivers I feel like she’s drfinitely the one I’d actually most enjoy getting to sit down and actually have a meal with or something.

Calli and Polka are both at the top for me in terms of "sit down and chat for a few hours." Dozens of pages back I got pretty spergy on them both (and sperg on Karen regularly) but Polka is definitely a woman after my own heart with how introspective she can get. Like a lot of others she's been through a lot, but what I would really like to talk about with her is just literature. She is very well read and I would love to hear what her favorite stories are, inspirations, and just share shit like that. You don't wake up and just decide to learn about book binding. She obviously loves and respects books a lot and I feel that it's the most interesting and unfortunately understated thing about her.

It saddens me a bit when a streamer isn't gaining more views or subs, so they end up losing interest and streaming less frequently. They usually blame themselves for not being funny enough or quirky, but how the hell do you augment those things without stepping into the Twitchian World of Fake Enthusiasm.

Right place, right time, right people. You can engineer the last one to a degree but even then you gotta be entertaining to keep people around. Artemis is a great example of hitting all three yet still fucking floundering because he's boring as watching paint dry. Valefor at least acknowledges he sucks and actively tries to get better. What does Artemis do? Throw money at hololive until they acknowledge him, which Calli has done but so far has been the ONLY one to actively promote him even a bit.

Got caught by the chans, apologized, and removed the tags - the deed had been done, however, and the clippers apparently made the connection like a week after jp did. And now they’re milking it while they can.

Yeah, she did it on purpose. As was said before, it's not a big deal, all the Holo girls do it too, but for some reason it's taboo for her because she isn't part of Hololive, I guess. But, it's a business and you do what you have to do get ahead.

Doesn't matter anymore for her anyway, she got her viewerbase, now she can grow it without that extra help. She deserves it too, she's very sweet.

Delu in general has such a relaxing voice to listen to, and her autotune Vocaloid-esque approach to singing work suprisingly well. I tuned into her chat stream yesterday, and it was fun listening her talk about food. That girl can really talk though, i notice her talk streams can go for 3-4 hours

Yeah she's a speed-talker like Polka or Marine, and can yammer on for hours and hours. Fun fact for those who don't know, some of her bilingual mods in her Discord server live-translate her streams in a dedicated text channel during. They're the real MVPs, that shit cannot be easy. I also love her voice, it's kinda like a chipmunk kind of voice, it's cute.

Aside from the eternal clash between those that want her to return to Aloe, and those that are okay with her indie gig? 4ch loves her. There’s a transcription of her stream comments, I’m happy she’s feeling better.

The only concern I (and other channers) have is with admins/mods in her discord not translating certain topics because they themselves don’t think it should be translated, not Delu telling them to scrub it because she thinks it’s too yab. Haven’t had anyone on her thread do a 5ch deepdive, so I can’t tell you what they think, unfortunately.
