Trashfire Apollo Legend suicide

Its pretty fucked up calling someone out in your suicide video and I'm not too close to this community but sounds like everyone is a bit of an asshole. My only exposure was to this viper guy - think turkey tom made a video about streamers being lazy and quoted viper in it who then made like a 20 min video about how he was misinterpreted by tom and he respects and is totally friends with asmongod or whatever. I just filed him away under 'faggot' in my head and though no more about him. Guy sounds like a snake (apt name).

There are no heroes here, sadly only an hero.

Doesn't matter. If there's a claim of a specific amount of proceeds going to a charity, it must be documented. Yes, I'm aware of "admin fees" being a thing, but there should still be records of exactly how much money is donated.
It MUST be documented? Go right ahead, some jew lawyer most likely helped them massage the language so everything's "above board". If you catch them then they'll just get that language fixed and it will be like it was like that the whole time. When you donate to a charity you're donating to someone's inflated salary first, their jew lawyers second and who the fuck knows after that. It's like playing carnival games.
One backstabbing faggot made a maybe three-digit YouTube bucks on your back from one (1) video,
There's a 42% chance you're next.

The speedrunning community used to be a tight-knit group of enthusiasts and autists who were exceptionally good at what they did. Then around 2014 for some reason the trannies landed, took over and ran everyone with wrongthink off. It happened so fast that I can't help but wonder what trustfund think-thank collective was behind it.

The only thing faster than their spedrun times is how quickly they turn on each other for gay retarded shit.

I guess you could say that Billy Mitchell has finally...

Autism and attention seeking made it obvious. How many angry (wo)men saw some chick suck at Zelda and get mega views? Put on a dress at the next GDQ and you will be the closest thing to a woman Spike Vegeta has ever seen.

GDQ's relationship with the charities they support is this weird loophole where they don't have to consider themselves a charity organization. GDQ LLC is a private entity, they just handle the money the gets turned into PCF/Doctors Without Boarders. When they say "100% of the donations go to charity" they are technically correct. 100% of the donations ARE going to charity. It's just that the charities then turn around and pay the owner of GDQ LLC (Either Mike Uyama or Coolfatty as far as I know) for hosting the event. This is all fine and dandy imo, but the amount they are receiving has come under scrutiny over the past few years. It seems that organizing these events is the only job the main organizers have, and with GDQs averaging about 4 million USD raised a year, you'd have to wonder how much they could possibly getting paid (especially when you factor in costs to host the event. Supposedly they have somewhere around 100k USD worth of equipment and it costs around 50k to pay the hotel, twice a year).

As far as Prevent Cancer Foundation goes, PCF literally only stands to "Prevent Cancer", not cure it, which I assume most people think that is what they are actually doing. This lead to people being pretty upset when one year they spent millions on an ad campaign where they printed fliers telling people to grope their best friends.

Plus they are a rather small charity yet the CEO alone rakes in ~300k/year (or ~5% of the money they raise per year), and surely they have other employees they need to pay (https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=5435).

To boot, several years ago (before GDQ got anywhere near as big as it is now) GDQ had a thread asking people what other charities they should go with besides PCF, but that got shut down the second PCF offered them a contract to host the event for them (which many believe is the reason GDQ has become so sterile, to appease their charities so they can keep their comfy contract).

tl;dr: GDQ's aren't doing anything illegal and everything about their salaries is pure speculation. HOWEVER, I could see how someone could assume it's at the very least "shady"

I remember unsubscribing from this guy on Youtube because he would upload speedrunning highlight compilations that were like 6 minutes long and then shamelessly tack on 4 minutes of footage of some unrelated shit just to stretch the video to optimal ad-revenue length. With that, his droning voice and the numerous drama videos, his content really was bottom tier. It sucks he commited suicide though. Clearly he was dealing with a lot of shit and he should have just dropped Youtube/socials rather than getting worked up over what I can only describe as the least important drama imaginable.

We get money for the charity, who then pays us a salary behind closed doors is very shady. No matter how you slice it, it's using a loop hole where people think they're donating to help stop cancer and instead are paying $100,000 a year to a big chain hotel. They could buy lease building to host that shit in at that much money.

When you donate during A/SGDQ, you donate the money to the charity, not to GDQ. They, from an accounting standpoint, do not handle the money at all. Now there's some potential for shenanigans with subs/bits, since GDQ has to donate those directly themselves, but the actual donations are pretty clearly documented.

What GDQ does is get paid for putting on the fundraiser, though this is mostly likely an arrangement where they receive a fixed % of revenues + some flat amount. If you go to PCF's website and look at their financial documentation under the "fundraising expenses" section, you can get a pretty solid idea of how much GDQ gets paid to put on AGDQ. Last I checked, that was in the $150K range, but it's probably higher now. Now, obviously they could be getting more money under the table, but the charity's records at least look above board (ignoring the quality/value of said charity, anyway). I haven't looked too deeply into MSF, since they're way bigger than PCF and it's more work to suss out if there's anything odd in there.

this is how all nonprofits work.

just because the company doesn't make a profit doesn't mean they do it for free.

And at least GDQ's wikipedia page was kind enough to list the exact amounts of how much their events raised:

Do we know his motive? Did he kill himself because he lost to Billy Mitchell's lawsuit? If so I can imagine a lot of people will hate Billy Mitchell even more now.
His motive in his video said it was heavily due to chronic health issues but in the description he name-dropped DarkviperAU as well as EZscape. Nothing about Mitchell, but if he got put in a hole of debt because of that Mitchell might also be partially at fault.
