We just didn't manage to prevent the suicide. The information I was given was because--and this is according to the cops--I had made an effort beyond what anyone else had done to that point to try to save his life and they wanted to make sure people knew the outcome even if they couldn't give us more information like cause of death

If you’re going to take a mentally ill person’s life into your hands and risk having their family come after you should the worst happen, you’d better be in a position where you can personally justify any fuckups that you might make.

Suppose it turns out someone's mentor or therapist was on Twitter and by banning them when they threatened suicide, you cut them off from someone who could have helped them and it led to them killing themselves. I could see them getting sued for this bullshit, and on top of that, it looks super heartless and scummy.
