One important thing to think about is that Contra already has mainstream support, including "news" articles praising him. I think the establishment hitched their wagon to him early on for various reasons, and it would take a substantial shakeup for them to stop praising him. He's the right combination of coomer, consoomer, and minority-but-actually-a-white-guy that makes him marketable and easy to keep on the plantation.
Eh Contra's too big to fail, along with Hbomb and Shaun. They're comfortably set in their positions, so comfortably that they get ~$20k a month to release 2 videos a year, like Shaun. I do believe that breadtube's downfal will come from what they helped to create. That is: a more mainstream acceptance of communism.
It is the turn of the tankies to take the spotlight. If YT's algorithm is anythig to go by, I'd say that there is a big growth in tankie channels in recent months; quite similar, at least in my oppinion, to the rise of the Alt-Right.
This new wave is as "SJW" as the last -breadtube- but their message is quite more radical and "out there". Videos made by these new youtubers are more geared towards explaining theory and how the Soviet Union worked as well as to making apologies for socialist regimes. One must notice that this is actually a pretty common counter argument in certain academic circles. What I see here is a change from cultural critique to good ol' marxism and anticolonialism. They appear to be well read in classic leftist literature, although they profess acceptance towards trans people and homosexuals, something that wasn't that important to the old left.
I'd say content creators such as bad empanada belong to this breed, and I believe so because of his video on Che Guevara, in which he portrays him as a hero for Latinamerican peoples instead of a historical footnote: showing murals made with his image without considering that they were made by leftist universitary groups and not by the people living in those places. He even showed a mural that I've seen personally and that has been extremely controversial since it was painted in the 60's, so much so that it was erased and repainted numerous times by people who care which -spoiler- is a minority of people. The funniest part is considering bad empanada is an Argentinian talking about Latin America as if he was part of it. It's funny because Argentinians utterly despise the rest of South Americans and consider themeselves to be something else, except when they want us to participate in their stupid pipedreams i.e pseudosocialism and convincing themselves that they have a legitimate claim to the Falkland Islands.
He has another video insinuating that Venezuelan refugees who speak ill of socialism are the grand children of nazis. Again: not realizing that he, being an Argentinian, is probably a decendant of some fascist mussolini supporter or even perhaps an actual nazi.

This one is an Iraqi physician. That, coupled with him lacking a thick accent, leads to speculation on my part of he being well educated and probably affluent.
For what I have seen they hate everything breadtube hates, and more. A lot of breadtube supporters will end up joining these tankies and, to be honest, I find it fascinating, since they have a similar admiration for China to that of the Alt-right for Russia and Japan. I can totally see the media portraying them as CCP shills... or not, depending on how things unfold.
I want to see how this ends. These tankies are, in a lot of cases, non Americans and they remind me a lot of :powerlevel: my university classmates. The whole thing is a trip to my freshman years.

Does anyone still seriously buy that story? Personally I still think it & others like it are a load of hogwash (doesn’t matter how stupid & cringe many Anti-SJWs can get, there’s no way anyone would do a complete 360 degree turn after seeing the equally, if not more, stupidity & cringe of their hated enemies, no way in hell) and I personally believe (more hope really) that the discovery of indisputable proof of it as a lie will be what brings him down permanently in the end (like you said, he pretty much built his career on that pipeline video and when you destroy the foundations, the whole building comes crumbling down) and may even be at least a contributing factor in the rest of BreadTube’s downfall, especially if other “deradicalization” stories are also successfully debunked.

The reason he “left the right” in the first place was because his fellow conservatives didn’t take well to him saying he wouldn’t mind having a gay/bi child, right? That’s all fine & dandy, but the problem was that he seemed to be going too far in the opposite direction and slowly joining the deranged far-left SocJus types he criticised in the past and he’s now paying the price for it, just like with everyone else who simped for SocJus.
Leftoids don't seem to realize that right-wing politics is the new counterculture. That means it's attractive to everyone who has issues with the current culture, including degenerates, and that the people with the edgiest takes in that sphere will naturally gravitate to the kind of right-wing politics that upsets the people maintaining the status quo the most (i.e. Fascism) simply because it upsets them.
