He seems to be a well-adjusted person, not hard to imagine what the majority of the lolcows on here would do with that much cash on hand.
Dsp would blow all the money on figurines and buy another condo and finally get to no1 on WWE champions forgetting about his actual forclosure and bankruptcy. He’d probably end up in debt and with IRS pressure especially due to influx of 50 mil.

Amberlynn and Foodie beauty would spend all of that money as possible on food Becky, amber and Chantal would die. Petes would reign supreme and gain all Chantals money, probably play some video games.

Jim Sterling would probably go full Troon, retire and blow everyone of his followers into the dirt.

Dream would probably buy a new identity to escape from his fandom, probably emigrate somewhere they couldn’t get him.

I can guarantee that little to no lolcows will change and improve their lives at all. The money would worsen their habits and make their character worse.

Etho is still going and redstoning is better than ever; we lost Zipcrowd but gained Scicraft. It helps the engineering side of MC doesn´t appeal to many young young kids, so there´s probably not much molestation going on.

we also got face reveals for some pretty well known technical players. I love face reveals because they're always surprising

one of my favorite youtube comments is on scicraft's panel:
"we have server members from all around the world"
*laughs in German*

afaik I believe ilmango is an engineer as a day job and gnembon is a CS professor?

How did this guy get such a large following anyways? First time I heard about him when the shitass videos were making their rounds on Jewtube. I really don't believe that, out off all things, Minecraft "speed runs" and Mnecraft in general is going to get anyone popular nowadays.

1. The Minecraft resurgence- more videos became popular.
2. Dream began doing speed runs and streaming with people who had a big following
3. Appearing in mr beast minecraft videos
5. Algorithm promoting PC family friendly content
6. Cult fanbase of children

Combination of these.

Depends on how much they fall into the category of being explicitly targeted at retarded 12 year olds. A lot of the smaller people like etho just make autistic videos about whatever they want like you said, but they usually only get a small niche of followers unless they are really talented or unique.

Xisumavoid also takes time now and then to put out vids directly addressing the hermitcraft fanbase, sometimes to remind them not to act like zoo animals. That probably helps.

ilmango is currently doing YouTube full-time according to reddit. It also confirms there are multiple PHDs on the roster. Also they don't mention that HelgaRakel is doing a Master's.

More generally, I think people on that side of YouTube are more well-adjusted than the more recent wave of Minecraft YouTubers. They generally do treat Internet entertainer as a professional matter and try to reign in their (smaller) fanbases. Arguably being older on average probably helps a lot with that.

Talking about Etho being anon, Xisuma has also been anon for a long time.

EDIT

Wow that's a one-in-a-trillion coincidence right there uh? To add to that, Grian sometimes has to remind people that the storylines are not real beef in the middle of main channel videos. I don't know if it's a bad sign or a good sign tbh.

Scicraft is autism that defies the space-time continuum. The ridiculous shit they've built. Last year, they even found a way to legitimately obtain bedrock in vanilla, and then ilmango fucking accidentally placed one in their inventory place. I'm afraid this thread is going to turn into a full-on block game autist containment, lol.

yep I think the original was with water updates and boats for detection. later on due to a bug with how pistons were implemented,
Yeah, the piston diagonal power shit. It broke so many of my stuff so I just kind of stopped playing. Original method was using boats and pistons. Dating even back during alpha, people used boats and doors to hold falling sand entities to mimic the affect of a piston. It was autism in its purest and most glorious form. Now the community is filled with lefty retards and troons.

the game encouraged making mass prison structures for these long nose fuckwits

Villager breeding cells, equipped with beds and a minecart system to send "rejects" into a pit of lava.
Villager confinement cells to mass spawn iron golems, that are thrown to their death to harvest flowers and iron.

Never. Forget.

yes this is the autism the block game is supposed to be about. creative autism, not stupid cheating people and idiot preteen stans and fucked up fetish art.

from my memory, xcom and earthcomputer from prototech were the first to get bedrock item. Ive recently been more interested in how the game works in a code level and I thought about learning enough so that I could apply to prototech but I don't have the knowledge currently and their applications are closed for now anyway.

I'm sad the KF minecraft server was shut down even though I never participated because I don't have a burner account. we could have our mini anarchy server.

I don't think he ever deleted it, I think he intentionally misled the moderators so he could have his cake and eat it too. He gets to keep his mods folder as is, gets a decent excuse for why he refused to submit it, and then gets to shit on the mods for misunderstanding him and enough time has passed that it doesn't matter anymore.
Here's the pictures the Speedrun Discord released on what Dream said. He specifically said he deleted the contents of the folder with his "it would be pointless" comment.

anyone who cares about this is autistic until proven otherwise

if you have EVER posted about dream or his associates in any capacity you must provide verifiable papers from a licensed psychologist declaring that you are definitively not autistic
Do you even realize what website you are on right now, faggot?

They're definitely all autistic, for sure. But in the "I like math" sense instead of the horror stories we usually see.

Back on topic, I'm wondering how this'll affect his other content. I must confess that I watched a bit of his content. I doubt he cheats or scripts in manhunt or other things per se - the way he works is to give himself a slight advantage rather than to outright fabricate things. For example, in manhunt, his friends clearly are trying to be entertaining rather than actually win. You can see this from their lack of overall strategy, lack of progression (how does one man get gear faster than three working together?) and falling for tricks they probably shouldn't or reacting slowly.

Regardless, the whole debacle casts a shadow over him. Being doxed isn't a death sentence, being caught cheating isn't a death sentence either, even if speedrunning is practically his lifeblood. He is certainly doing himself no favours by being cocky about either, though. Whether he can eat humble pie will decide whether he can slowly recover, or become a laughing stock for the Minecraft community.

Are they though? This tendancy to label anyone who's the slightest bit socially awkward and good at something technical as autistic strikes me as an ovardiagnosis/overmedicalization of natural differences people have in their personalities. Like a need to put everyone in some box or slap a label on them. Unless you just mean "autistic" in the internet sense, in which case, just rate my post dumb, everyone involved in this is autistic, including us on the Farms.

the internet sense. no it is not a formal diagnosis of autism which is about not understanding social interaction and not getting social cues. we mean just awkward or being really dedicated to a hobby. it can even be a badge of honor.

I figured as much, this being Kiwi Farms, but it's something that I notice, especially among communities who use "neurodivergence" as a badge of honor. Everyone who's the slightest bit off from some absurd stereotype of "normal" is autistic, aspergers, adhd, add... It just weirds me out.

They are not merely "good at something technical", they are quite literally the world's leading experts on breaking the block game without actually breaking any rules. They spent hundreds if not thousands of hours perfecting their craft, reading source code and placing redstone before they got a single dollar from it. That's definitely something on the DSM-5, even if it's not autism.

What's interesting is that some psychologists go further than defining autism as a spectrum and hypothesize about "autistic traits" an otherwise normal person could have. I think even if it's not full blown autism, ranging from head banging and underdeveloped verbal communication to mostly functional lives with social difficulties, there may be some truth to "autistic traits", such as obsession and extreme focus on certain tasks and mild difficulties in social situations. I suspect many of us participating in this forum can relate, if only moderately.

Hard to look at those numbers and not be at least a bit envious, and that's a pretty low estimate if you ask me.
Pewds did a reaction video to a video that speculated on his wealth and he implied they were very wrong and he made much more. I don't remember what it was but it was easily tens of millions. His net worth calculation would require some serious dox since I believe he owns various properties and has spread out his income across various things, including his game which apparently does really well due to autistic whale fans.

Thanks for sharing, I was only going off of what he had said so this really just shows he's a major piece of shit. He implied it was the mods fault for misunderstanding when really he lied to them and then lied about lying to them.

Why wouldn't he cheat/script in his series that's entirely about entertainment? I think it'd make more sense and be far more forgivable to fudge the numbers there to create more entertainment and keep things moving. I assume, with no evidence at all, that he does the same sort of stuff there coupled with clever editing to make a more exciting video overall but make it believable so his dumb fans think he's basically a minecraft super hero. Nothing wrong with any of that, though.
If I had to make a bet, I'd say he trialed his drop manipulation tricks in manhunt before applying it to a proper speedrun.

He (Dream) already edited drop rates to get a world record placement run (and would've been the world record at the time if another ender pearl spawned in the portal). He then hired a "PhD Astrophysicist" to write a report on how his odds are only 1 in 100 million of the event happening (with poor math, errors and typos in the report, if he is a PhD its not from an accredited University or College). Everything he says is automatically wrong unless he (Dream) provides hard and varifiable evidence.
