Dunno about going full corporate, but its more them being WAY to ambitious and thinking they can pull off a TRIPLE A MEGA-UBER BLOCKBUSTER game, when they really couldnt. But, instead of realizing that they kept the hype train going while trying to flex as hard as possible, though their rabid fanbase also didnt help as they all assumed this game was gonna "stick it to Bethesda/Ubisoft/EA" or them stupidly buying that Alpha demo was showing off how the game was gonna be.

God the make up he is wearing in his latest vid is legit horrifying. Full troon out is imminent. Jim's last video is probably the weakest he's ever made. An utterly joyless and emotionally vacuous grocery list reading. He may as well have just put out a video saying there would be no "Best Of" this year because he doesn't enjoy games anymore. It feels like he's trying to write a 5 paragraph essay about his favorite Shakespeare writings. The video is padded with overly long lame skits done entirely in post by Justin, so he doesn't even need to sit at his podium.
He's had to systematically eliminate any game he actually enjoyed for legitimate reasons due to his own labyrinthine qualifications. He's completely lost his crusades against the industry and his contempt for his own audience is bleeding through in everything he now puts out.
I'd be more excited for his worst games of 2020, but it's just going to be politisperging without any genuine passion for gameplay.
