I would cheat at minecraft if I knew I could make ad revenue off 10million children. Pretty sad when you make an effort to stay anon in your videos and still get shitted. Also, those drawing of him are wayyy off, he's nowhere near blonde.

He's the probably most low-key, chill, drama-free Minecraft YouTuber out there. Not sure why they decided to threaten him. Best guess is the doxxers are children, which seems likely given basically everything about this dox.

Because he's apparently some sort of "rival" to Dream, and he does boast/show off quite a bit although not in the same retarded way as Dream. Honestly Technoblade probably isn't scared of being doxed, since (apparently) a bunch of people IRL know what he does already.

It really is a shame that he got all his info exposed and stuff, not to mention the Pandora's box of other shady apparent things he's done. I actively enjoy the manhunt videos, but after the cheating allegations (speedrunning and the other kind of cheating), the endorsement of gore fan art, and fanfiction involving him and his underage friends having sex, I kinda just wanna cold turkey his content as a whole. I don't think he's a bad guy at heart, but the man needs to own up to his mistakes.

Holy shit I remember after seeing the initial release of the mod team's report thinking how big this could be, but holy shit I never saw this outcome, I don't think Dream did either. This fucking shitstorm drama is on every corner of the internet I visit, be it gaming related or fucking technology and woodworking forums dropping references

I think his toxic fanbase may be the reason for his popularity more than himself. A few freaks latch onto him, draw fanart, create a 'community' for freaks, attracts other freaks in droves.
That or its possible he could've been blessed by the youtube recommendation algorithm + everyone being at home due to corona. There's a few other channels that had similar things happen (although not to that scope)

Honestly, he produces the type of content you watch when you're bored and and don't have anything else to watch. For some weird reason he has gathered a cult like following from 14 year old girls who'd be Homestuck super fans if they were teenage girls back in the Mid 2010s. Could it be charm, charisma, the fact that nobody knows what Clayton looks like? I honestly don't understand the appeal of Dream to the point where in the most extreme cases people want to eat his fucking shit.

How the fuck can someone as milquetoast and generic as Dream get stans who want to eat his shit? Not even those with cults of personality like Stalin or the Three Kims had this amount of pull as far as I'm aware.

Also an answer for @KingCoelacanth Dream literally studied how the YouTube algorithm worked with the intent of getting popular. It's a classic Art of War move to make. He pulled a classic "Know your enemy and know yourself", as a result he's reaped the reward of not needing to fear the results for 100 battles.

For the 58475654th time, the 'eat his shit' thing is a joke that was started by people trying to troll him. People watch him because he's a genuinely extremely skilled player who brings together a large number of other highly skilled players and content creators in various videos. He runs what amounts to the Smash Bros of Minecraft.

Good marketing. He studied gaming trends very extensively in order to determine what both audiences and the algorithm wanted in order to get ahead. You know that 'according to Youtube statistics, only X number of my viewers are subscribed...' bit everyone and their cat is adding to their videos these days? He was the guy who invented or at least popularized it. He started making contacts with other gaming Youtubers right out of the gate, and spread his influence as far and as fast as possible. He learned how to be a content mill, homing in on videos that were both easily reproducible and highly popular. There are whole hours-long dissections of his content available on Youtube analyzing all the ways his videos are edited to keep the attention of his target demographic.

He might be scum, but he is a marketing genius and an utterly ruthless capitalist.
