I don't understand how some Trump fans can look at the past several years and not realize that a lot of people really, really don't like Trump and that he's not the most popular president we've ever had. For the elections, using the NYT, and WSJ seem to have been good ideas, as they seem to be the only left and right wing publications stateside left that don't treat their readership like drooling toddlers with a 3rd grade vocabulary and the need to see big shiny colors and letters all over the page.

Yeah, you can't couch it in any way. He's remarkable because he is without a doubt the least popular president in modern history, but he is -also- the most steady president in modern history. His popularity barely moved. It never slipped below a certain threshold; he was impervious to scandals. Even IMPEACHMENT barely dented him. Wildly popular within their circle like no-one else ever was - his approval rating among Republicans is insane - and equally and stable-ly unpopular outside of it.
