Um, are you retarded?

In order for this logic to work, you need to assume either
  1. The population of a state is evenly distributed between every county to some degree.
  2. Population Size and Density have absolutely no correlation to voting patterns.
Both of those two things couldn't be further from the truth. The vast majority of counties in the United States are relatively low population and rural, which is where Republicans thrive. Democrats get their votes from very high population urban counties, which is what those few blue counties you can see in Oregon are (Notice how basically all of the either contain, or are very close to, a major city), and the population of those counties are fucking massive compared to most other counties in their state. You aren't looking at an evenly distributed population map, you are looking at 20 rural counties with a population of like 10,000 at most (Which typically lean Republican) and 3 or 4 counties with a population of at least 100,000 (Which typically lean Democrat).

Red vs. Blue in America is mostly just Urban vs. Rural at this point. I think this is one of the failings of the Constitution, but to be fair, I don't think the Founders envisioned our monster modern cities.
