Misinterpreting the quote is a joke meant to shine a light on the absurd way the media tried to shield rioters when it benefited them.

I certainly hope no one on the right actually takes that quote seriously, lol.
I've been talking about this with some of my more liberal relatives and let's just say they're really angry at me for using their quotes.

"Who cares if a little property got damaged? That shit's covered by insurance and can easily be replaced. Lives cannot."

biden will be gas on fire
democrats hate democrats, republicans hate republicans, we have a king maker at war with both parties, and a dysfunctional government which can't even be bothered to defend it's most powerful members. you see the videos showing the police posing with some of the boomers, as well as those rushing.

get ready for the next four years, atleast the last four 92% of republicans were happy. try that with dems.

Boomers confirming yet again that they are nothing but a giant waste of time for everyone.

The difference is that it's always easy to write whatever orders and laws. But nobody in that house will forget that where they sit and work everyday was invaded by people with guns.

They will never forget because adrenaline pumped through their bodies, unsure of what was going to happen. Nothing happened but that evening some of them felt their hand shake as they came down from the adrenaline rush.

They will never experience that room the same again.

And my prediction is that their response will not be measured, but an overcorrection. Because they may be smart, but they are still moist humans with monkeybrains and circuitry.

And their overreaction will get a counterreaction, though probably as ineffectual and disorganised as this one. If they get good leadership things would go insane, but I don't expect that.

I get the feeling from the ice in the room that the entire Congress is pissed at Trump, now. Good going, guy.
I feel impeachment is fully possible, even if not really necessary. Some muse also about the 25th amendment, but I believe that requires getting some of his cabinet members to sign off on it.

We are definitely in scorched earth territory at this point. Unlikely as they may be, they were impossible just yesterday; today changed that.

Small point, but please use paragraphs.

the invaders were unarmed though?

I can't wait for this to be used as justification for overbearing legislation.
The constitution was framed around the people being able to override their government in times of crisis, and to that end, spineless boomers wasted the biggest play in the book today by not having the balls to go thru with it and not having an actual plan. As you say, legislation will be introduced that will entrench those in power and prevent something even remotely like this from happening ever again.

Again, not condoning or advocating anything. Feds and mods can suck my dick.
