No, this happened because people have little faith in the government. This boiling everything down to "TRUMP BIDEN DNC GOP!" is dumb and it's the reason why this country will never evolve politically past coke vs pepsi, not once realizing it's all corn syrup crap.

This entire charade could have been avoided if they just took the election bullshit to court. Prolly could have even tossed it after some kabuki theater with just some hand wringing too. But no, we had to hide behind procedure, hoping that the new year would wash this all away.
