Is there any explanation on how they were able to get in so easily?
The things i can think of is that they thought that they'd be completely complacent, or it was purposefully understaffed.
To be fair, there were completely complacent and just want home to their hotels after curfew started. I wonder if we'll be getting reports of raids and arrests at 2 am in the morning.
It's almost assuredly the usual complacency. I'll give it to the right they don't chimp out like joggers do this was completely out of left field for a group of people that are 99% of the time bootlickers. It is fucking weird but I think it just caught them off guard.

Poor people in 3rd world countries can arm themselves and overthrow their governments, but 1st world Americans who outnumber and have more arms than the Government can't do the same.
A bunch of armed civilians with no training aren't a significant threat to the largest military force in the world.

I won't support kneeling, black criminality or rigged elections or terrorist religions being given eulogies.

We team Xi Jinping now.
The bipartisan circle jerk in session right now is the grossest thing I've seen in decades.
Self preservation will do that. We know democracy is to be replaced.

Tfw you realize that the founding fathers gave us our 2nd amendment to protect ourselves but the modern "patriots" would rather just jerk their guns off then actually use them.

Legit coward. Also laughed at that half ass attempt to have rioters go back home. Holy shit, people voted for him thinking he was some lion and instead we got a limp dick moron who shits himself in front of other world leaders.

Man all that winning.

The coming months and they'll realize they put the money on the wrong geriatric man.
My favorite part is how he was talking to them like autistic children throwing a wall punching tantrum in the special ed class. "You're all special.. so special.. but its time to go home now..."

Oh trust me, I'm loving all of the galactic-brained hot-takes I'm seeing all over the place, even in this very thread, where mush-brained assholes think stripping any and all nuance between comparing niggos chimping about a felon OD'ing after being handled with the biggest kid gloves I've ever seen the police use on a man well over 6' tall, and a shitload of angry voters who are pissed that not only was blatant election fraud committed in the election for arguably the most powerful office in the country, but that the media and many of their so-called "representatives" of the party they aligned themselves with so brazenly pretend that noticing it makes you a conspiracy theorist, is somehow an intelligent comparison a rational human would make.
It's why I've come to the conclusion that we're officially at "irreconcilable differences" territory. Either you believe no election fraud was committed for whatever motivations you may have, or you're not so stupid as to think that the ridiculous clown show that happened during the election was somehow your "lying eyes" deceiving you. We've come to "either you see four lights or you see five" territory, and as amusing as some of the happenings from today were, it's both sad and worrying that it's come to this.

And make no mistake mother fuckers, there are FOUR lights.

Also similar situation in my country. I feel like the only way a coup is possible in western countries is via the army. You can't just rock up with a few guns and yeah. A long militia battle but the resources of the state would win again.

It's not so much about the media being leftist bootlickers, it's the lack of any neutrality in general. I guess I'm old but when I grew up the news was just that, the news. Now it's nothing but yellow opinion pieces flavored with the occasional detail of what actually happened.
It's even worse than you describe it. Any one outside of the very narrow mainstream can see they're lying directly and get targeted by them. Even normies on facebook are being exposed to how much these people lie with hard evidence.

If I learned anything today it's that politicians, the news media and the left in general are all totally cool with riots as long as they're in support of BLM and not the president.

Well yeah, funny thing that.

People tend to be more accepting of riots when they are in response to a belief that cops are going out of their way to kill unarmed black people, and they tend to be less accepting of riots when they are in response to a politician fairly losing an election and then throwing a tantrum about it for 2 months.

Both sides deserve to be spoken to like that. Mental Fortitude in more ways than one is lacking.

I'm hoping that maybe today's events will unite the left and the right under the same feeling that we are all having.
It could only unite the right and left into a state-mandated sense of normality where legislation is passed to enforce a healthy democracy.
i.e. the state will begin cracking down on any viewpoints you don't see on tv. It'll be harder to criticize the political system and have doubts about how things are being run
