Literally just tried this multiple times on several vpn connections in Chrome's incognito mode and I get the same result when searching "styx". He is the first result after the band itself and hes the fourth result in the auto complete (and "styxh" autocompletes to his stuff and "styx h" auto completes to "styx helix <insert variation of song query here>"). A popular dad rock band that has millions of views on their songs takes priority over a political goofball because first and foremost Youtube is an entertainment platform and hes still the second result. Sounds like more sour grapes from Tarl.

The majority of traffic on youtube isn't from subs or people searching your name. It comes from randoms being recommended your video on their front page. Many, if not a majority of people on youtube don't know subscriptions exist or how to get to the subs page. After using youtube a couple of times through other websites like Google's search results youtube recommends them videos like they already watch. By banning you from being part of that recommendation you will lose a lot of viewers. In niche communities you can see a channel go from 50 views per video up to 10,000 in a week when they tweak things so their videos get recommended more. It's not a single channel seeing that grow, your niche hobby videos will shift towards three or four new channels above people you have watched for years. Once another tweak happens you will see those channels discarded for another set. They don't lose the viewer base they built up entirely but slowly become background noise with patreon supporters. Top of the search results if you search a video they have made, 76th on the recommended videos list other wise.

Even if it is true it obviously isn't doing any harm. This guy makes a living by people buying his books and donating gibs on Patreon and Subscribestar. Not searching his name on fucking YouTube.

Can't fault Tarl for wanting to live in Amsterdam over the US, especially fucking Vermont. Especially if he thinks things in the US are about to get much worse. But he's not going to admit this because that would disturb the based American civnat shuck and jive.

Styx is basically an expatriate at this point. His legal residence may still be in Vermont, but functionally, he's an American expatriate living in Holland. I doubt he's going to be returning home anytime soon, unless Dutch immigration officers compel him to or whatever. I don't blame him for this, I'd have done the exact same thing if I were in his position. But stop pretending like you haven't abandoned America, Styx. It's easy to pretend to have faith in America from a flat in one of the most free and prosperous nations in Europe.

But he consciously leaves them on ... even points out the fact in the fucking title of the stream.

these are levels of grift I don't know how to cope with.

Honestly, anyone still supporting him at this point are exceptional individuals who deserve to be parted from their hard-earned money and their dignity. The fucker is basically a millennial Glenn Beck.
