I mean what did they expect, no one is going to genuinely respond to an 8 hour video where they go off topic on 30 minute tangents every five minutes, the fact that they pause every three seconds for the original video means you would have to respond to too many of these, like I don't care for Patrick Willams, but I can't blame him for ignoring all the EFAP stuff on him.
It's funny because the more autistic EFAP fans, the ones that spam LONG MAN BAD to every tweet criticizing Mauler, would say something along the lines of "well, not EVERY minute of that 8 hour video is dedicated to the topic at hand!" as if that makes it better. They did this to Jenny when she was surprised to see an 11 hour video with her name and face plastered on it but insist it's not actually just about her. You can't respond to what EFAP says to you in any reasonable way. The only thing you can do, and what EFAP fans encourage you to do, is have an unequal debate with Mauler. You by yourself against Mauler's circle with no mediator. Not particularly fair, ain't it?
I know what you mean, I'm guilty of it too. Of course, criticism can be fine but some people like Mauler abuse the word as a shield to shit talk and ridicule people under the guise of trying to give constructive and earnest criticism. Replying to your enemies tweets and inserting yourself into their conversations that have nothing to do with you isn't criticism.
It's amazing that I hated these people a year ago but now I feel bad for them because of the shit they have to endure from Mauler.
The amount of fart huffing they're doing is just out of this world. 'We're having a very insightful discussion and Dunkey's brain just shuts off' like dude you guys are circlejerking the same point about some people loving the style and many others hating it. Also, expecting somebody to watch a 10 hour unfocused livestream so they can rebut you properly is absolutely braindead, other people actually have lives.
I'm pretty sure that is a meme. Not one I'm familiar with and possibly one that is pre-TLJ. The sarcastic 'TM' makes it pretty obvious. The 'intellecutal gaming' is also a meme, by the way.
Twitter and EFAP seem to be fundamentally different bubbles. Twitter, as we all probably know by now, brings out the worst in people. They at least pretend to get along and be civil in front of their audience on Youtube streams. I have a question. What is their behavior on Discord like?
I haven't lurked or payed attention Maulers Discord in awhile (I might start doing it again cause why not) but I do know Southpaw has gotten into a load of fights with random people on there (Hell even I got into one with him forever ago there) and even left and came back. Mauler is his usual smug self like he is on Twitter all the time. Rags doesn't seem to talk much (only has 2,889 messages sent as I type this) but does seem to get pretty angry a lot.
Is editing the minis really that hard? He probably was rushing the Mandalorian ones out, but some of them took insanely long to edit, sometimes several months. Most of the editing to obnoxious and unnecessary. If he just cut out the boring or unnecessary parts and didn't focus on making it funnier with wacky zoom-ins I'm sure it would be quicker to edit. Part of me is somewhat touched by Rags defending his friend so emotionally, but that comment voiced a very prevalent concern. He isn't an 'asshole'. Most likely he is a fan. He has a right to question MauLer. MauLer is taking way too long to make reviews on subjects that become irrelevant as he is making them. And when they come out they are bloated monstrosities only people with too much time on their hands would bother watching And technically he isn't making them for free: his Patreon is paying him thousands in confidence he'll make those videos. I wonder how aware of the behind-the-scenes of MauLer's channel Rags is. I doubt they have even met in person, now that I think of it.
If you look hard enough, you'll find some of his fans talking about this thread and calling us spergs for not liking Mauler.
Depending on the software, it's not even hard to do quick zooms. It literally takes a few seconds to change scale and position values unless he's dumb enough to not know how to use them or the timeline and moved it frame-by-frame.
My issue with isn’t primarily with Dunkey its with certain boneheads in his fan base who whenever he gets called out on a bad take do the whole “ACKSHUALLY HE WAS GIVING A BAD TAKE ON PURPOSE” Schtick except if it’s a take they agree with and he’s suddenly a genius.
This comes across as so sad and desperate, it would be so funny if Quinton never brings up the Mandalorian just so Mauler can't feature him. He must have the Batwoman season premiere on a countdown timer, cause that's the only thing I think he could put out with little to no pushback from his audience.
I would love to see what his schedule looks like. He probably has terrible sleep habits, considering he stays up for the entirety of every EFAP. He probably spends half of non-EFAP days asleep, and the rest is probably video games, social media, and streaming services. I get the feeling the seeing what the real human behind the the gas mask avatar is like in his life off-stream would be a rude awakening to many of Callum's fans. What is his home like? What does he spend all those superchats and Patreon money on? What is his future projects' progress looking like? He's promised several reviews he hasn't even begun to record at this point. I doubt anyone in his closest circle knows that. It's probably highly disappointing even to us, his haters.
Somehow I think that isn't true. I honestly don't think he cares much about Star Wars anymore. Maybe he was a fan in the past, but his lack of knowledge of the EU and disdain for the Filoni Clone Wars and parts of the Mandalorian makes me think that he isn't the type of fan that would buy a ton of toys, especially toys owned by Disney no less. He definitely owns more than one Lord of the Rings sword replicas. Maybe the whole set.
I imagine he spends it all on take out orders/fast food and whatever games/streaming services he gets. I doubt he has a girlfriend with the lifestyle he's living (I mean who would want to be with someone who spends all their time either sleeping or sperging out on Twitter or in a Discord call for literally half a day).
Whenever I peek at Discord, he's 90% likely to be playing something (League, Halo, Dolphin emulator). He probably only "works" when the mood strikes him. Doesn't he pay Boschett to edit most of the minis?
