In the last EFAP Shad was super upset (and he couldn't explain himself well because he's a good religious guy and struggled to say 'rape' and 'sex', lmao), he even made a video about it.

I've actually changed by mind a little. MauLer isn't being truly sarcastic towards HiTop. He genuinely hopes that he will make a positive review of the film so that he and his friends can do an EFAP on it. I don't think that they have targeted HiTop yet, and he seems eager to do so since the Spider-man 2 argument. He also needs positive review of WW84 so he can further milk this new trend.

It's pretty obvious that he sees his enemies (or anyone who disagrees with him) as content for EFAP. He's nearly obsessed with them because if he can get a reaction out of them, it means he has more fuel for EFAP episodes. Drama is the life source of his channel, it always has been and always will be what he's primarily looking for. HiTop being on his list means that poor aspie is going to go through hell in his next few videos. Mauler will probably even check out his channel for older videos to feature on EFAP.

Whoever said that the Fandom Menace Types are scared of MauLer is probably right. Even when MauLer isn't directly on the video they constantly feel the need to say that their enjoyment of some episodes of the Mandalorian isn't 'objective'. Drinker doesn't seem scared of him, though, and despite his flaws he's probably the most likeable of the bunch. When I first started watching the stream, I actually was thinking that the Fandom Menace pair on the stream were better than MauLer at talking about these subjects since they actually seem to be passionate about the subject, but they are even worse clickbait trend-chasers than him. They feel played out and hollow, and have probably talked about these subjects over and over again. They are a different type of animal than the EFAP crew who kowtow to him because he is 'smarter' and 'a better reviewer' than them. I once watched a Nerdrotic video where he basically said that he thinks his reviews and opinions are garbage and that MauLer and Drinker are the tope tier of reviewers.

I wonder exactly how many people are afraid of him that are "friends" with him. Besides from IHE, Jay, and Wolf, of course. I'd imagine a good chunk of them are align with him to protect their channels.

Oof. Well, I think there's so much to criticize about WW 84 that that is a relatively small fucking thing.

It's essentially got two opening intro sequences, goes long stretches with little happening, and there is little to no consequence for peoples actions.

When you're looking too hard, shit like this happens. Kindof like criticizing her for not freeing camps in WWII when they show pictures of her doing that by her watch and shit.

The movie is all one big clusterfuck. All you do when you nitpick a clusterfuck is cover yourself in it.

I remember he responded to a post I made on here, it was about him lacking empathy and he bragged about a livestream where he told his fans not to harass the person he had on. This is completely contradicting to his response to Patrick Williams, where he denied his fanbase does that shit and mocked and ridiculed him for bringing it up. He clearly does that as a disclaimer to clear himself of responsibility for his fanbase but that hardly matters when he does that shit himself and directly goes to people just to provoke them. Which undoubtedly leads to his fanbase following his example.
His fixation on HiTop reminds me of when he attacked Cosmonaut over his critiques on the Raimi Spider-Man films. Back then he defended them but now that he changed his mind, I realized he still would've attacked Cosmonaut for his critiques using the excuse that he's "right for the wrong reasons." Because apparently, the right reasons are having the exact same views that he and Southpaw have.
I wonder why more people haven't called him out for this. Dunkey's response (the last sixth or so of the livestream because yes they spent that much time reacting to WW84) mostly composes of him looking bored and pretending to fall asleep while watching the EFAP on him. It shows the main flaw of EFAP. It is boring. It is hours upon hours of rambling. Their response to this seems to be that they find this criticism unfunny, and that they think their content isn't boring. Though to be honest. Dunkey could have done much better than he did. Criticism needs to be concise and to the point in order to make its mark IMO. I don't blame him for taking the opportunity to zone out if his opponent is expecting him to sit through a Lord of the Rings tier rant in order to cover his own part.

To be honest, not taking MauLer seriously is the best and the funniest way to deal with him. Him and his friends may rage, swear revenge and do a couple of EFAPs on you, but he has little influence outside of his bubble. Clown on him and give him a taste of his own medicine. In this EFAP he gets mad at the 'it's just a joke' shield for bad criticism when him and his friends have done worse things under that pretense.

I like him when he sticks to Who/GOT/LotR/Trek/Expanse, you can obviously tell thats where his heart is. What I really don't like about him is when he goes on and say things like "oh i'll never review this/that". Dude it's your youtube job, of course you're going to review it that's why people are tuning in. The Drinker/Mauler worship is probably just his way of being humble, he likes to put everyone from the FM sphere on a pedestal.

I've been guilty of this myself in the past so I feel confident in saying this, but a lot of the time "criticism" is just a weasel word when really the person in question really just wants to attack someone. It's pretty disingenuous and a trap a critic needs to be careful not to fall into.

MauLer doesn't even think of himself as a reviewer. He does 'long-form media analysis' instead of reviews and when he reacts to other people's reviews he and his friends are 'analyzing' them.
